  • Patent number: 7490112
Abstract: A synchronization system may include: A Source (outbound). An “Accessor” communicating with a device's data store. A corresponding Target Accessor is provided for inbound data. Both Accessors work in conjunction with a “Conduit,” which is provided for understanding the data that is being read so that the data can be mapped to a universal schema or “unirecord” or to a target dataset. The Conduit serves to broker the services of the Source Accessor and the Target Accessor and to provide field mapping and conversion. Core synchronization functionality is provided by a Synchronizer or “Sync Core” (engine). The Synchronizer performs its specific functionality on a per record or per data item basis, such as determining which records need to be inserted, deleted, updated, or the like.

  • Publication number: 20080306973
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a system and method for managing data from a number of systems. The method comprises: defining a set of objects for the data; defining a set of classes for the data; maintaining a catalog for each instance of the data; in the catalog identifying each instance's source system and its level of harmonization with other data; applying a set of harmonization rules to identify from the data a group of related data and an owner of the group; identifying differences in instantiations within the group; and initiating update requests to affected systems having the identified differences.

  • Publication number: 20080230328
Abstract: A method of detecting the braking of a vehicle comprising a push rod (200) intended to transmit an amplified braking command to a master cylinder. A plunger (220), arranged parallel to the primary piston (200) so as to reproduce the movements of this piston, and a sensor (230) which senses the movements of the plunger (220), this sensor (230) being fastened to the booster (250), are used to detect a braking operation by detecting a movement of the plunger (220).

  • Publication number: 20080093920
Abstract: In order to prevent a vehicle fitted with braking assistance and trajectory correction devices and having a highly placed center of gravity from overturning in a bend when there is a sudden turn of the steering wheel at the same time as a sudden braking action, a hydraulic braking circuit comprising a hydraulic pump (3) which sucks a fluid contained in a reservoir (3) through a master cylinder (1), is provided with a bladder (10). The bladder, placed between the master cylinder and the hydraulic pump, reduces the duration of flow of the hydraulic fluid to the pump, ensuring a sufficient suction pressure at the entrance of the pump in order to cram the brake and cause the wheel having the most pressure to skid.

  • Patent number: 7182980
Abstract: Annular substrates (20) are stacked in an enclosure where they define an inside volume (24) and an outer volume (26) outside the stack. A gas containing at least one precursor of a matrix material to be deposited within the pores of the substrates is channeled inside the enclosure to a first one (24) of the two volumes, and a residual gas is extracted from the enclosure from the other one (26) of the volumes. One or more leakage passages (22) allow the volumes to communicate with each other, other than through the substrates. The total section of the leakage passages has a value lying between a minimum value for ensuring that a maximum gas pressure in the first volume is not exceeded until the end of densification, and a maximum value such that a pressure difference is indeed established between the two volumes from the beginning of densification.

  • Patent number: 7099797
Abstract: A method of testing a computer system in a testing environment formed of a network of routers, servers, and firewalls. Performance of the computer system is monitored. A log is made of the monitored performance of the computer system. The computer system is subjected to hostile conditions until it no longer functions. The state of the computer system at failure point is recorded. The performance monitoring is done with substantially no interference with the testing environment. The performance monitoring includes monitoring, over a sampling period, of packet flow, hardware resource utilization, memory utilization, data access time, or thread count. A business method entails providing a testing environment formed of a network of network devices including routers, servers, and firewalls, while selling test time to a customer on one or more of the network devices during purchased tests that test the security of the customer's computer system.

  • Patent number: 6996167
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method and system for operating a secondary diagnostic channel on a modem. The present invention is directed to the transmission of data on a previously defined UI frame. In this manner, various pieces of information may be sent over the secondary logic channel. The present application also discloses the use of a wild card request that allows the sending of multiple pieces of unrelated data at one time, through the use of a special format. The present application also discloses the use pseudo-unique call identification information that can be used to diagnose and prevent problems in various data connections. Modems can be configured to refer to information stored for previous connections to diagnose problems that may have occurred in the previous connection.
