Patent number: 9146233Abstract: The present disclosure features a variety of compositions, kits, and methods that are useful for, inter alia, detecting and/or analyzing an interaction between two molecules, a target molecule and a target-specific binding agent which can be, e.g., proteins, nucleic acids, saccharides or polysaccharides, small molecules, or combinations of any of the foregoing. The compositions, kits, and methods can also be used, e.g., to detect the presence or absence of an enzymatic activity (e.g., a kinase activity, a protease activity, or a phosphatase activity) in a sample; to identify a compound that modulates an interaction between two molecules; or to identify compounds that modulate the activity of an enzyme.Type: GrantFiled: November 13, 2007Date of Patent: September 29, 2015Assignee: PerkinElmer Health Sciences, Inc.Inventors: Philippe Roby, Stephane Parent

Patent number: 8859291Abstract: The invention provides methods for isolating a target molecule from a sample. In an embodiment, the method involves contacting a sample with a capture agent, the agent comprising a siderophore and a transition metal cation, under conditions wherein the agent is capable of binding a target molecule to form a target molecule-capture agent complex, wherein the target molecule is selected from the group consisting of a phosphorylated molecule, a nitrotyrosine-containing molecule and a sulfated molecule, and separating the target molecule-capture agent complex from the sample, thereby isolating the target molecule from the sample. Also provided are methods for determining the presence of a target molecule in a sample, that involve contacting a sample with a capture agent, the agent comprising a siderophore and a transition metal cation.Type: GrantFiled: June 9, 2005Date of Patent: October 14, 2014Assignee: PerkinElmer LAS, Inc.Inventors: Roger Bossé, Wayne F. Patton, Philippe Roby

Patent number: 8242083Abstract: Tyrosine kinase substrates are described herein that are phosphorylated by many and diverse tyrosine kinases, and are chemically stable relative to co-polymers of poly-EY or poly-EAY having random molecular weights in the range of 20-50 kDa. Tyrosine kinase substrate peptides are provided according to embodiments described herein which include an isolated tyrosine kinase substrate peptide having molecular weight in the range of about 0.5 kD-10 kD. Tyrosine kinase substrate peptides are provided according to embodiments described herein having no more than 50 amino acids. The peptides include 2-25 phosphorylation modules and each phosphorylation module has 2-3 amino acid residues.Type: GrantFiled: June 23, 2009Date of Patent: August 14, 2012Assignee: PerkinElmer Health Sciences, Inc.Inventors: Lucille Beaudet, Philippe Roby, Julie Blouin
