  • Patent number: 8890351
Abstract: An exemplary electricity producing installation includes electricity producing devices at least partly immersed in water, each electricity producing device having a rotary mechanical receiver and an alternator. The alternator includes at least one rotor and at least one stator. The at least one rotor of the alternator can be set into rotation by a rotary mechanical receiver. Each electricity producing device produces an electric AC signal with variable voltage and frequency conveyed by an at least partly immersed electric transport cable. The installation further includes an interconnection device having parallel electric transport cables connected to an input and which provide at the output a joint electric signal with variable frequency and voltage, the current amplitude of which is equal to the sum of the input currents. A partly immersed export cable connects the output of the interconnection device to a power conversion device out of the water.

  • Patent number: 7102098
Abstract: A method and system for diagnosing, solving, and/or controlling, in particular remotely, a given technical problem likely to arise before, during or after a heat treatment operation on metals, in particular in the welding or cutting field, and to provide the most suitable solution thereto, and to do so by minimizing the time needed to solve this problem and therefore by reducing the loss of productivity likely to occur because of this technical problem.

  • Patent number: 5739503
Abstract: The shielding gas mixture for the TIG or GTAW arc welding of stainless steels, in particular of duplex or super duplex steels, comprises, in argon, from 3 to 18%, advantageously approximately 10%, of helium and from 1 to 3%, advantageously approximately 2%, of nitrogen. This gas mixture makes it possible to ensure good corrosion resistance of the metal deposited, acceptable solidity of the welds and excellent arc stability, as well as a suitable viscosity of the molten metal appropriate to manual welding in all positions.
