    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for acoustic insulation of a hollow body (C), such as part of a motor vehicle body shell, whereby said hollow body is filled with at least one open-celled foam. According to the invention, the filling of at least one part of the body is achieved by pouring flakes of foam (71) into the above. The invention also relates to a body shell (1) of a motor vehicle at least one part of which is filled.
