  • Patent number: 7980338
Abstract: A power take off (PTO) driveline shaft of an agricultural implement may be securely stowed when not in use using a PTO driveline storage device. The storage device is pivotably mounted to the frame of the agricultural implement, such as the hitch, and may be rotated from its own stowed position to a position to provide support for the PTO driveline shaft when the PTO driveline shaft is not connected to the PTO of a tractor or other machine having a PTO output. The storage device includes an arm having a first end that is mounted to the hitch and has a second end that is adapted to fit against the PTO driveline shaft when the device is being used to stow the PTO driveline shaft. When not in use, the storage device may be rotated clear of the PTO driveline shaft and pivoted to a position where it may be securely stowed.

  • Patent number: 7143839
Abstract: A holder assembly is illustrated to support at least one flexible line extending along a telescoping tongue assembly of an agricultural implement. The holder assembly includes a first pivotally coupled link in general parallel alignment with a second pivotally coupled link, and at least one post pivotally interconnected between the first pivotally coupled link and the second pivotally coupled link. The holder assembly further includes a bracket connected at the post and configured to receive the at least one flexible line between the bracket and the post. As the telescoping tongue assembly moves between a retracted position and an extended position, the holder assembly enhances support of the flexible lines.

  • Patent number: 7017676
Abstract: A support assembly is configured to carry a series of flexible lines associated with operation of an agricultural implement. The agricultural implement generally includes a main frame bar pivotal about a platform. The support assembly includes a mounting bracket, a support arm and a holder assembly. The mounting bracket is pivotally coupled about a vertical axis to the agricultural implement. The support arm is pivotally connected at one end to the agricultural implement, and connected at the other end to the holder assembly. The support assembly is configured to hold the plurality of flexible lines above the platform as the main frame bar pivots about the platform of the implement.

  • Patent number: 6112827
Abstract: An agricultural planter is provided with wing members that fold forwardly from a laterally extending operating position to a compact transport position. The wing members are supported on wheel assemblies when in both the operating and transport positions. A transport lock mechanism is operable to secure the forwardly folded wing assemblies in the transport position against the draw bar. A latch tower having vertically oriented latch retainer bars permit the wing members to move vertically relative to the draw bar without disengaging the transport lock to allow the wing member wheel assemblies to follow ground undulations in the transport position. A wheel lock is also provided to convert the wheel assemblies between a forwardly fixed position used when the wing members are in the operating position and a castering position that enables the wing members to move into the transport position.

  • Patent number: 5950926
Abstract: The present invention relates to a sprayer boom lock valve for automating the setup sequence for sprayer operation from the transport position. The lock valve comprises a lever, spring biased toward a valve closing pin, and a cam secured on the secondary boom of the sprayer boom. When the secondary boom is rotated to release wheel locks in the setup sequence, the cam releases the lever which acts on the valve closing pin to close the valve and prevent any further rotation of the secondary boom. The valve is opened again by a linkage which is pulled tight when the sprayer wings are opened, retracting the lever and opening the valve. The hydraulic drive line is then reestablished to complete rotation of the secondary booms.
