Patent number: 8919620Abstract: A long handled sock donning tool includes a handle portion adapted to be gripped by a user and an opposing sock engaging portion. The sock engagement portion includes first and second flanges spaced from an elongated support by first and second spacers. Each of the flanges include a sock engagement arm for retaining a sock thereon, and an opposing stabilizing arm for supporting the tool during the mounting of the sock onto the tool. First and second rubber sock gripping portions help retain the sock on the tool. Once an upper portion of a sock is folded over the sock gripping portions, a user's foot can be inserted into the sock comfortably without being forced into contact with a hard plastic wall of the tool. Additionally, the tool can be used as a shoe horn by fitting one of the first and second flanges into the heel of a shoe.Type: GrantFiled: March 12, 2013Date of Patent: December 30, 2014Inventors: Kevin Darrell Taylor, Michael Phillip Taylor

Patent number: 8739807Abstract: A protective glide for medical walker legs is disclosed in the present invention. Said protective glide comprises a wear disk for smooth walker moment on surfaces and a shield to cover said wear disk to prevent users from stepping on said wear disk and to prevent dirt and debris from collecting on the unit. The wear disk comprises an attached core containing gripping flanges and o-ring to snugly fit into the medical walker tubing. The present invention attaches easily to standard-size tubing of medical walker legs, without the use of tools. The rounded shape of the wear disk allows it to easily maneuver over rough and uneven surface and in any direction.Type: GrantFiled: October 1, 2012Date of Patent: June 3, 2014Inventors: Kevin Darrell Taylor, Michael Phillip Taylor

Patent number: 8245548Abstract: A handle assembly, includes, but is not limited to a handle on one side of a vehicle tailgate liftglass. The handle is connected to a shaft member that passes through a hole in the liftglass. A motor pivots the assembly into either a closed position, in which the handle lies adjacent to the liftglass, or an open position, FIG. 2, in which a gap is left between the handle and the liftglass into which the user may place his hand in order to pull the handle or push the liftglass. Preferably there is a resilient element between the motor and the handle.Type: GrantFiled: October 31, 2008Date of Patent: August 21, 2012Assignee: GM Global Technology Operations LLCInventors: Paul Sibley, Phillip Taylor, Simon Keane

Publication number: 20110287231Abstract: A load-bearing engine mounting bracket has a main region, which carries the loads and stresses, and a separate region which is load-free and which is exposed to heat from a heat source, e.g., an exhaust pipe. The region is in the form of a heat shield, integrally connected with region by elements, but otherwise separated from region by an air gap. The bracket is of a composite plastics material and may have a heat reflective coating. The air gap can be omitted.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 20, 2011Publication date: November 24, 2011Applicant: GM GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY OPERATIONS LLCInventors: Phillip TAYLOR, Max-Rudolf BERLINGER, Alfred SCHAAD

Publication number: 20080308652Abstract: The Rejuvenator adds the contents of a container of an admixture to the flow of shower water or bath and hand wash supplies for a specific application. The Rejuvenator 1 is attached to the outlet of a shower unit or mixer shower by screwing the female cone gland 2 onto that outlet. Then a shower hose can be attached to the male gland 3. The container of an admixture 6 (seen in FIG. 3) can be attached by screwing 7 into the rejuvenator 1, at 5. Turning the selector wheel 4 can regulate the amount of admixture used. NB: The Rejuvenator will have to be fitted by a qualified plumber to the hand and bath water supplies and water supply for toilet cisterns. (For hand and bath water, Rejuvenator could be manufactured with mixer tap attached).Type: ApplicationFiled: June 18, 2007Publication date: December 18, 2008Inventors: Paul Phillip Taylor, Gary Philip Doyle
