Publication number: 20250102474Abstract: Systems and methods for characterizing a physical and solution properties of liquids are described. In some embodiments, an ultrasonic interrogation signal may be emitted into a liquid such as a solubilized protein solution. A resulting ultrasonic spectrum may be sensed and provided to a trained statistical model of the solution. The trained statistical model may then determine one or more properties of the liquid. In some embodiments, the trained statistical model determines a viscosity of the liquid and/or a solubilized protein concentration of the liquid. In some embodiments, a trained statistical classification model configured to classify the liquid based, for example, on its contents or properties is used to improve modeling accuracy.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 13, 2024Publication date: March 27, 2025Applicant: Sartorius Stedim Biotech GmbHInventors: Samin Akbari, David James Pollard, Amin Ganjian, Phillip Anderson, Robert Balke

Patent number: 10474246Abstract: A keypad having a keypad frame and at least three input devices arranged in a grid layout within the keypad frame. A signal output is generated by the keypad after two sequential actuations of any two selected input devices of the at least three input devices. A first selected input device of the two selected input devices selects a block of signal outputs associated with the first selected input device, the block of signal outputs being mapped to match the grid layout of the at least three input devices. A second selected input device of the two selected input devices selects a particular signal output from the block of signal outputs, the second selected input device corresponding in a relative position with a position of the particular signal output in the block of signal outputs.Type: GrantFiled: January 29, 2018Date of Patent: November 12, 2019Inventors: Mark Phillip Anderson, David Ben Anderson

Patent number: 8029914Abstract: High performance coated metal compositions resistant to metal dusting corrosion and methods of providing such compositions are provided by the present invention. The coated metal compositions are represented by the structure (PQR), wherein P is an oxide layer at the surface of (PQR), Q is a coating metal layer interposed between P and R, and R is a base metal. P includes alumina, chromia, silica, mullite or mixtures thereof. Q includes Ni and Al, and at least one element selected from the group consisting of Cr, Si, Mn, Fe, Co, B, C, N, P, Ga, Ge, As, In, Sn, Sb, Pb, Sc, La, Y, Ce, Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb, Ta, Mo, W, Ru, Rh, Ir, Pd, Pt, Cu, Ag, Au and mixtures thereof. R is selected from the group consisting of carbon steels, low chromium steels, ferritic stainless steels, austenetic stainless steels, duplex stainless steels, Inconel alloys, Incoloy alloys, Fe—Ni based alloys, Ni-based alloys and Co-based alloys.Type: GrantFiled: July 10, 2007Date of Patent: October 4, 2011Assignee: ExxonMobile Research and Engineering CompanyInventors: Kenneth E. Patent number: 7118699Abstract: A closed mold method of making a composite having a barrier layer. The method includes providing a mold; applying and curing a layer of gel coat on an inside surface of the mold; applying and curing a layer of barrier composition over the gel coat, the barrier composition comprising: about 10 to about 50 wt % vinyl ester resin, about 15 to about 60 wt % polyester resin, 0 to about 30 wt % monomer, about 1 to about 15 m wt % thickening agent, about 0.1 to about 5 wt % accelerators, about 1 to about 25 wt % filler, and a catalyst; applying a layer of fiberglass reinforcement over the barrier composition; applying resin to the fiberglass reinforcement; closing the mold; curing the resin; and opening the mold and removing the composite, wherein the composite has an improved surface finish compared to a composite without the barrier composition made with a closed mold process. The invention also relates to the composite made by the method.Type: GrantFiled: August 18, 2003Date of Patent: October 10, 2006Assignee: Illinois Tool Works Inc.Inventors: William F. Lauersdorf, Robert Phillip Anderson

Patent number: 6681324Abstract: A machine having a non-volatile storage medium interface such as a CDROM drive and a local hard drive is configured for execution of an application process from a non-volatile storage medium such as a CDROM. The method of configuring the machine includes first loading into the machine, from a removable non-volatile storage medium in communication with the non-volatile storage medium interface, an operating system environment. The local hard drive is accessed to determine if the machine has a signature indicating that the machine had been configured previously. In response to a determination that the machine was not previously configured, a network connection to a server is established to access configuration files for use by the operating system environment and/or the application process. A local file system is loaded from the removable non-volatile storage medium onto the local hard drive, based on the accessed configuration files.Type: GrantFiled: September 7, 2000Date of Patent: January 20, 2004Assignee: Cisco Technology, Inc.Inventor: Daniel Phillips Anderson
