    Abstract: The present invention provides a method for predicting an outcome of pregnancy, particular for predicting the likelihood of ectopic pregnancy (EP) or viable intrauterine pregnancy (VIUP), and methods for determining appropriate protocols for subjects with a pregnancy of unknown location (PUL) based on such an outcome, comprising determining the expression level of one or more specific miRNA molecules that are differentially expressed in scenarios of EP or VIUP, extracted from a biological sample obtained from said subject and comparing to a control value. The present invention also provides biochips and kits for use in carrying out the methods of the invention.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to compounds for use in the delaying of labour and/or inhibition of uterine contractions in pre-term pregnant subjects. Such compounds include selective prostaglandin EP2 receptor agonists which specifically activate the anti-labour cyclic AMP (cAMP) pathways of EP2, without inducing signals that induce pro-labour G protein-dependent pro-inflammatory pathways, as observed with other conventional EP2 agonists within the art. The invention also refers to methods and uses of such compounds.
