  • Patent number: 9101129
Abstract: A new concept and invention for converting the conventional flying wing decoy into a different species/gender/genome. The system would use a decoy currently on the market and convert the product from the species that it represents to a different species/gender/or genome that the hunter is in pursuit of on that particular hunt. For example, a flying dove decoy can be converted to a duck of several different types, and a flying duck decoy can be converted to a squirrel or other ground dwelling animal. This allows the sportsman to use one single motorized system to create different decoy animals and species.

  • Publication number: 20140261856
Abstract: A portable self-serve fuel metering system that may be coupled to a standard portable storage tank or tanker truck, which eliminates for specialized equipment on the tank or tanker truck and the need for underground storage tanks. The invention provides a self-service mobile fueling metering system to be used in collaboration with a standard mobile fueling tank (e.g. a mobile fuel tank or tanker truck). The fuel would be accessible any time a user desires and would not require an attendant be present. The invention provides a cost effective and simple way to provide customers fuel at any time, in a location of your choosing. By using portable tanks or tanker trucks, the invention eliminates the possibility of environmental leaks and spills.

  • Publication number: 20140237885
Abstract: A new concept and invention for converting the conventional flying wing decoy into a different species/gender/genome. The system would use a decoy currently on the market and convert the product from the species that it represents to another species/gender/ or genome that the hunter is in pursuit of on that particular hunt. The system would utilize a flexible water proof plastic printed with photo/graphic design art where new body can be wrapped around and new wings inserted in one species of flying decoy to convert it to a completely different species/gender/genome. In essence a flying dove decoy can be converted to a Duck of several different types, and a flying duck decoy can be converted to a flying goose of several different types. This allows the sportsman to use one single motorized system whether it be wind or electric to hunt whatever game he is after without having to purchase several different motorized decoys that cost a lot of money and take up more space.

  • Publication number: 20130346332
Abstract: A method for screening candidates by a screening entity that includes remotely accessing a screening entity's online web page by a candidate. The candidate inputs responses to a set of queries tailored to the screening entity. The responses thereto are stored in a candidate profile. An interactive audio session is initiated and an interactive information gathering process with the candidate occurs using both the audio session and the computer. Prompts are generated via the audio session and web page. Verbal responses are recorded and confidence scores are automatically calculated. The verbal responses are stored with the candidate profile for later access and analysis by the screening entity. The stored information is analyzed by the screening entity to make quality and criteria judgments about the candidate to determine a hiring potential of the candidate.

  • Publication number: 20110213726
Abstract: A method for screening applicants by a screening entity includes the steps of remotely accessing a screening entity's multi-modal pre-screening tool by a candidate using an Internet-accessible device, the pre-screening tool comprising audio and visual elements operable to communicatively interact with the candidate, and carrying out an interactive skills assessment of the candidate by communicating at least one cue to the candidate from the screening entity, requiring the candidate, upon receiving the at least one cue, to simultaneously interact with the pre-screening tool and, based upon this interaction, communicate a verbal response to the cue, recording the candidate's verbal response with the pre-screening tool and storing the verbal response in a database profile associated with the candidate and accessible by the screening entity, and analyzing the candidate's recorded response by the screening entity and carrying out a quality and criteria judgment to determine the hiring potential of the candidate.

  • Patent number: 7966265
Abstract: A method for screening applicants includes remotely accessing a screening entity's web page by a potential candidate. The candidate is asked, via the pre-screening web page, to input responses to a set of queries tailored to the screening entity and the candidate's responses to the queries are stored. A phone call is automatically initiated to the candidate in response to at least one of the candidate's responses. An interactive information gathering process is started with the candidate using both the telephone and the computer. In the process, audio prompts to the candidate are generated via the telephone and the candidate's verbal responses are recorded via the telephone. A profile of the candidate is stored in a database including the verbal responses from the candidate for later access and analysis by the screening entity. The recorded responses are analyzed by the screening entity to make quality judgments about the candidate.

  • Publication number: 20100286653
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses providing accessibility options for the blind and poorly sighted for use with insulin therapy systems. A remote control device, with speech output capability and comprehensive speech menu system, may monitor or intercept data generated by a blood glucose meter, and delay, modify and retransmit said data to an insulin pump. The remote control device may also be used to program and set operating parameters of an insulin pump and also record data received from an insulin pump. The remote control device may also be used in conjunction with a personal computing device.

  • Patent number: 7340682
Abstract: An alternate display content controller provides a technique for controlling a video display separately from and in addition to the content displayed on the operating system display surface. Where the display is a computer monitor, the alternate display content controller interacts with the computer utility operating system and hardware drivers to control allocation of display space and create and control one or more parallel graphical user interfaces adjacent the operating system desktop. An alternate display content controller may be incorporated in either hardware or software. As software, an alternate display content controller may be an application running on the computer operating system, or may include an operating system kernel of varying complexity ranging from dependent on the utility operating system for hardware system services to a parallel system independent of the utility operating system and capable of supporting dedicated applications.

  • Patent number: 6867790
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for controlling pointer movement on a user interface display screen in a computer system. Selected areas of a display screen are defined to provide predetermined pointer movement control actions. Visual cues to the selected areas are provided for the user. In accordance with a feature of the invention, the pointer movement control actions assist computer users in selecting desired operations or objects while minimizing potential for inadvertent user selections or mistakes.

  • Patent number: 6232452
Abstract: Tuberous sclerosis (TSC) is an autosomal dominant disorder characterised by widespread development of growths in many tissues and organs. A gene (TSC2) is identified on chromosome 16 which is mutated in TSC and which may behave as a tumour suppressor. Screening of actual or suspected TSC patients for normal or mutated TSC2 can be used for diagnostic purposes. TSC2 protein (tuberin) may be used to treat or prevent unrestrained cell division and/or tumour development in patients with or without TSC.
