Some such methods may involve decomposing each set of renderer-specific loudspeaker feed signals into a renderer-specific set of frequency bands and combining the renderer-specific frequency bands of each renderer to produce an output set of loudspeaker feed signals.

The system may process the left/right main and left/right residual components differently using different object processing parameters for e.g. repositioning, equalization, compression, upmixing, channel remapping or storage to generate a processed binaural signal that provides an improved listening experience.
