  • Patent number: 11493993
Abstract: The disclosed computer-implemented method may include presenting, via a user interface, a sensory cue, and receiving, from neuromuscular sensors of a wearable device, various neuromuscular signals generated by a user wearing the wearable device, where the user generates the neuromuscular signals in response to the sensory cue being presented to the user via the user interface. The method may also include interpreting the received neuromuscular signals as input commands with respect to the sensory cue provided by the user interface, such that the input commands initiate performance of specified tasks within the user interface. The method may also include performing the specified tasks within the user interface according to the interpreted input commands. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 8571899
Abstract: A computer includes a processor and a memory storing data and executable instructions to operate a municipal financial guaranty mutual insurance company. The processor processes the data and executable instructions to track insurance premiums paid by members of the municipal financial guaranty mutual insurance company, monitor private investment capital into a holding firm, follow the investment of a first subset of the private investment capital of the holding firm into the municipal financial guaranty mutual insurance company in exchange for first promissory notes, track a second subset of the private investment capital of the holding firm into a reinsurance firm, follow the investment of a segment of the second subset of the private investment capital of the reinsurance firm into the municipal financial guaranty mutual insurance company in exchange for second promissory notes, and manage reinsurance firm first loss claims from the municipal financial guaranty mutual insurance company.

  • Publication number: 20050013413
Abstract: An instrument for aligning an x-ray beam relative to an x-ray film and a target tooth of an animal patient. The instrument orients the beam relative to the film, to produce dental radiographs of the target tooth in accordance with the bisecting-angle technique. More specifically, the instrument includes an alignment tool configured to align a longitudinal axis of the x-ray beam orthogonal to a bisecting plane lying approximately midway between a target plane defined by the target tooth, and an x-ray film plane defined by the x-ray film. In some embodiments, the instrument may also include an x-ray film holder and an x-ray film holder support, allowing the film to be conveniently positioned and held in proper alignment during an x-ray procedure.

  • Patent number: 5591462
Abstract: Camera based inspection equipment is used in conjunction with a multiple-station forming device such as a blow molder for polyethylene terephthalate (PET) or PEN bottle manufacturing. The inspection system relies on handling devices that present successive bottles for imaging, and due to their operation with the forming device it is possible to correlate inspection data with individual forming elements and/or transfer elements. A seal surface inspection module, a base/neck fold inspection module and a finish gauge inspection module are integrated into the route of preforms and containers through the container manufacturing equipment such that the inspection system is directed to view the passing bottles as they are carried on the transfer devices needed to load and unload the molder.
