Abstract: A system and method for converting from a digital film development system color space to a standard color space using a lookup table divided into a polyhedron. In one exemplary embodiment, back, front, and through image data is obtained from the digital film development system by recording light reflected from and transmitted through a developing film. For each pixel in the data, a lookup table is consulted to determine a mapping between the back, front, through data and standard color space values. The lookup table datapoints are divided into polyhedrons and it is determined which polyhedron matches the pixel. Then, from this polyhedron, a standard color space value can be interpolated, extrapolated, or otherwise calculated, or chosen directly from the table.
