    Abstract: An exercise device for exercising a user's upper body, including a belt mountable around the user's waist, an elastic cord secured at a midpoint thereof to the front portion of the belt, and gripping members operatively connected to the respective ends of the elastic member. The gripping members may include a hand grip only, a wrist cuff only, or both a hand grip and a wrist cuff, either as separate members or as an integral unit. As an alternate embodiment, the belt may be a two piece belt connected at the front ends thereof by a cord adjuster plate, with the elastic cord adjustably secured to the belt by an anchor.
