  • Publication number: 20090218170
Abstract: A lubrication system for a component is disclosed herein. The disclosed lubrication system can be applied relatively high temperature operating environments, relatively low temperature operating environments, or both. The lubrication system includes a tank operable to contain lubricant and having at least one tank outlet. The lubrication system also includes a tube extending between first and second ends. The first end of the tube is in fluid communication with at least one tank outlet. The lubrication system also includes an atomizer in fluid communication with the second end of the tube to receive lubricant from the tank. The atomizer is operable to dispense atomized lubricant on the component. The tank, the tube, and the atomizer are all adjacent to the component. A method for practicing the invention is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20080289250
Abstract: Unleaded blend compositions, as well as formulated gasolines containing them have a Motor Octane Number (MON) of at least 80 comprising either: (i) component (a) at least 5% (by volume of the total composition) of at least one hydrocarbon having the following formula I R—CH2—CH(CH3)—C(CH3)2—CH3??I wherein R is hydrogen or methyl, especially triptane, or (ii) at least 2% of component (a?), which is at least one branched chain alkane of MON value of at least 90 and of boiling point 15-160° C. or a substantially aliphatic hydrocarbon refinery stream, of MON value of at least 85, at least 70% in total of said stream being branched chain alkanes, said stream being obtainable or obtained by distillation from a refinery material as a cut having Initial Boiling Point of at least 15° C. and Final Boiling Point of at most 160° C.

  • Publication number: 20050230561
Abstract: A support structure (1) is provided comprising a plurality of curved surfaces A, B hingedly interconnected along their edges such as to provide effective deployment in two separate stages. Preferably, the structure has only two curved surfaces hingedly interconnected at a single non-planar hinge line. In FIG. 1 (a), the two sheets A, B are coplanar in that they lie in the same horizontal plane, permitting the structure to be in a flat, first stage deployment position. In Figure (b), the structure is fully deployed in a second stage deployment position by bringing sheet A out of plane through some angle in relation to the position of sheet B, resulting in both sheets becoming curved. The structure has utility in various space-based as well as terrestrial reflective and absorbing applications, and bears definite advantage in terms of weight saving, high stiffness and well-defined surface precision.

  • Patent number: 6256921
Abstract: The present invention is a shotgun undercarriage, for use in conjunction with a top receiver, barrel, fire control, carrier assembly, magazine assembly, and action system. The undercarriage has an integral and unitary stock, bottom receiver and forearm. The stock is adaptable for housing an action spring; the bottom receiver has at least one opening for mounting the fire control, the carrier assembly and the top receiver; and the forearm has a magazine housing. The bottom receiver and forearm cooperate to form at least one mounting surface capable of receiving the barrel and the top receiver.

  • Patent number: 6052935
Abstract: The present invention relates to a shotgun choke tube including a cylindrical body having an interrupted thread section located on its outside surface. A continuous thread section made up of at least one continuous full thread circumscribing the cylindrical body outside surface is provided adjacent the interrupted thread section. The continuous thread section may comprise between about two and about five continuous threads. The choke tube interrupted threads engage corresponding interrupted threads located on the interior surface of a shotgun barrel muzzle internal surface. The choke tube may be secured in a shotgun barrel with only a fraction of the turns required to secure well-known choke tubes having a long section of continuous threads.
