Publication number: 20240317281Abstract: A Railroad Tie Management System is disclosed that can provide an efficient and organized method of inspecting and auditing ties in a rail system. Tie mark files can be retrieved by a client from a server or database in operable communication with the client, and upon instantiation of an inspection process governed by the system, an inspection information table and tie grid can be generated. The tie grid can operable to receive commands from a user, and the inspection information table is operable to automatically increment and decrement fields contained within in response to changes within the tie grid. The tie grid can also be configured to incorporate data from tie scans and serve the data to the client in a useful and user-friendly manner.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 3, 2024Publication date: September 26, 2024Applicant: BNSF Railway CompanyInventors: Michael James Brick, Samuel Minton, Christopher Neil Pickard, Phillip Hunt, Justin Lee Devine

Patent number: 11589318Abstract: Providing signal-to-noise ratio information to a local transmitter node. A method includes receiving data in a signal transmitted on a data channel from the local transmitter node. A first signal-to-total-power ratio for the signal assuming no jamming of the signal is occurring is computed. A second signal-to-total-power ratio for the signal with factors included assuming jamming is occurring is computed. The first signal-to-total-power ratio to the second signal-to-total-power ratio are compared to determine if they differ by a predetermined amount. The method includes determining that the predetermined amount is exceeded, and as a result, a jammed signal-to-noise ratio is computed assuming jamming is occurring. The jammed signal-to-noise ratio is sent to the local transmitter node to allow the local transmitter to respond to the jammed signal-to-noise ratio.Type: GrantFiled: July 28, 2021Date of Patent: February 21, 2023Assignee: L3HARRIS TECHNOLOGIES, INC.Inventors: Jeffrey B. Bench, Brian J. Thorp, Rhett B. McCarthy, Scott A. Carey, Brent A. Kenney, Phillip Hunt

Patent number: 11560256Abstract: A pallet assembly includes a support assembly and a base assembly. The support assembly has a deck molded from a plastic shell material and male fittings that extend away from a lower surface of said deck. The base assembly includes a stringer that defines a plurality of openings which extend through the entirety of the stringer. A female fitting extends completely through each of the openings in the stringer so that the base of each of the female fittings is flush with or extends beyond the bottom surface of said stringer. Each of the male fittings corresponds to a female fitting, attaching said support assembly to said base assembly.Type: GrantFiled: June 24, 2021Date of Patent: January 24, 2023Assignee: Paxxal Inc.Inventors: Omar Shawaf, Ezzeldin Elmassry, Moustapha Bahsoun, Michael Laible, Ben Stoller, John Charny, Ellwood Phillip Hunt, III, Thomas Richard Hopson, III

Publication number: 20220324497Abstract: A system and method for strategic track and maintenance planning (STAMP) that can provide an organizational and adaptive infrastructure configured to facilitate railroad asset management and capital planning is presented. The system can provide a railroad asset inspector with relevant data for an assigned inspection segment. Location-based functionality can acquire a device's precise location and provide only the data necessary for the inspection of a particular railroad asset by providing step-by-step input prompting based upon the device location. The system provides adaptive thresholding of asset-related criteria to determine whether and when asset maintenance should occur. The system can acquire inspection data for one or more railroad assets, apply a data optimization algorithm to the inspection data, analyze railroad asset-related data (including historical data), and generate an optimized capital plan with a schedule for railroad asset maintenance and replacement.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 20, 2022Publication date: October 13, 2022Applicant: BNSF Railway CompanyInventors: Michael James Brick, Samuel Minton, Christopher Neil Pickard, Phillip Hunt, Benjamin Klein, Francis Showry Polisetty

Patent number: 11440701Abstract: A block assembly for connecting a first section and a second section of a load bearing assembly includes a male fitting and a female fitting. The male fitting includes a male fitting body and a projection extending from the male fitting body. The female fitting includes a female fitting body and defines a fitting cavity extending within an interior of the female fitting body. The male fitting couples with the female fitting by inserting the male fitting body within the fitting cavity and moving the male fitting body toward a base of the female fitting. The projection on the male fitting interacts with an interlocking joint on the female fitting to resist detachment of the male fitting with respect to the female fitting.Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 2019Date of Patent: September 13, 2022Assignee: Paxxal Inc.Inventors: Omar Shawaf, Ezzeldin Elmassry, Ben Stoller, Ellwood Phillip Hunt, III, Thomas Richard Hopson, III

Publication number: 20200223107Abstract: A rotational mold system includes at least two molds. A mold cavity is defined in each of the molds and designed to receive molding material that is injected into the mold cavity. Each of the molds is heated using one or more electric heaters that are directly attached to the mold or attached to a separate platen that is in contact with the mold. The heat transferred to the molds melts the molding material within the mold cavities, allowing the molding material to coat the inside walls of the molds as the molds are rotated.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 18, 2019Publication date: July 16, 2020Applicant: Paxxal Inc.Inventors: Omar Shawaf, Ezzeldin Elmassry, Ben Stoller, John Charny, Ellwood Phillip Hunt, III, Thomas Richard Hopson, III
