  • Patent number: 4357670
Abstract: A device for testing the performance of agricultural, horticultural or the like spraying equipment. The device includes a flowmeter, a fitting for coupling the flowmeter to a nozzle in the equipment, electrical circuit to which an electrical signal from the flowmeter is applied, and a visual display connected to the electrical circuit. In one embodiment, the electrical circuit scales the signal from the flowmeter and the display shows the rate of supply of liquid from the nozzle. In a second embodiment control means are provided for applying to the electrical circuit a signal representing a desired speed of forward travel and width of ground to be sprayed, and the display shows the volume of liquid then applied to unit area of the ground. In a third embodiment the electrical circuit includes a microcomputer and control means include a keyboard.
