  • Patent number: 11784555
Abstract: A method and apparatus for converting DC power to AC power. For example, apparatus for converting DC power to AC power comprises an input adapted to be coupled to a high-powered distributed generator having a maximum voltage at a first voltage and an arc fault mitigation device, coupled to the input, for providing a second voltage at the input that is lower than the first voltage, where a difference between the first voltage and the second voltage is not large enough to cause an arc.

  • Patent number: 8040110
Abstract: One or more cells are charged by measuring one or more cell parameters or changes in said cell parameters, inputting the measured cell parameter(s) or changes in cell parameters into a state of charge estimation model, obtaining a state of charge of the cell(s) from the state of charge estimation model, selecting an allowable temperature rise for the cell(s), determining a charge parameter in accordance with the state of charge of the cell(s) and in accordance with the selected allowable temperature rise for the cell(s), and supplying energy to the cell(s) in accordance with the determined charge parameter. The invention may be embodied as methods, apparatus and computer program products.

  • Publication number: 20040036475
Abstract: An architecture for organising information in a battery monitoring system, the architecture having a hierarchy of levels including a first level containing information relating to battery variables; a second level containing information relating to analysis of real-time or trend behaviour of the battery variables, and a third level containing user information relating to user and/or maintenance parameters, the user information being derived from the first and/or second level information. A method of estimating the condition of one or more cells, the method including periodically measuring the capacity of the cells, wherein the type of measurement and/or the period between measurements is dependent upon the state of health of the cell or cells and/or the result of a previous test.
