    Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for controlling animal behavior, such as a dog. In an embodiment, a system can a delivery unit that can include an outer housing, first and second electrodes protruding from a back surface of the outer housing, and a position detection system electrically coupled to the first electrode and the second electrode. The position detection system can include an accelerometer configured to detect one of a predetermined distance of the dog's neck with respect to a ground surface, a predetermined motion of the dog's neck with respect to the ground surface, and a predetermined angle of the dog's neck with respect to a level surface.
