  • Patent number: 12059732
Abstract: Machine chuck jaws, and a related method of manufacture, are provided. The machine chuck jaws are formed from an additive manufacturing process and include one or more gripping pads per chuck jaw. An axial stop is also formed from an additive manufacturing process and provides a flat surface for workpiece placement. The gripping pads equally distribute the clamping pressure, and the additive manufacturing process provides unique shaping capabilities and a honeycomb internal cross-section, thereby achieving a lightweight design. The reduction in weight allows for a decrease in pneumatic pressure used to actuate the jaws, resulting in a corresponding reduction in the clamping pressure which helps improve the form of the workpiece being machined.

  • Publication number: 20190073898
Abstract: A remote control device is provided that is configured for use in a load control system that includes one or more electrical loads. The remote control device includes a mounting structure and a control unit, and the control unit is configured to be attached to the mounting structure in a plurality of different orientations. The control unit includes a user interface, an orientation sensing circuit, and a communication circuit. The control unit is configured to determine an orientation of the control unit via the orientation sensing circuit. The control unit is also configured to translate a user input from the user interface into control data to control an electrical load of the load control system based on the orientation of the control unit and/or provide a visual indication of an amount of power delivered to the electrical load based on the orientation of the control unit.

  • Patent number: 9268779
Abstract: An apparatus for dispersing content may include a processor. The processor may be configured to receive a request associated with a content item and generate a hashed identifier based at least in part on the request associated with the content item. The processor may further be configured to generate a respective container within a hierarchy of one or more containers based at least in part on the hashed identifier and store the content item in one of the one or more containers based at least in part on the hashed identifier. Associated methods and computer program products may also be provided.
