  • Patent number: 11690120
Abstract: In accordance with example embodiments of the invention there is at least an apparatus and a method to perform determining, by a network node, a repeater, and/or a user equipment of a communication network, a configuration message comprising an identified frequency range of at least one of a first communication link between a donor and a repeater or a second communication link between a user equipment and the repeater for a repeat transmission in the communication network; and communicating with at least one of the repeater or the user equipment an indication of the configuration message for configuration at the repeater and the user equipment of the at least one set of sub-carriers mapped with the at least one physical channel for the repeat transmission, wherein the configuration message is using at least a different frequency offset of supported radio frequency resources to map at least one set of sub-carriers of the at least one of the first communication link and the second communication link with at lea

  • Publication number: 20220352967
Abstract: An aggregation unit includes a transceiver configured to transmit unique signals to a plurality of transmission reception points (TRxPs) for transmission by the plurality of TRxPs and receive uplink signals received by the plurality of TRxPs from a user equipment. The aggregation unit also includes a processor configured to generate a sum of the uplink signals from a subset of the plurality of TRxPs. The subset is determined based on measurements of the unique signals performed by the UE. In some cases, the subset is determined by a baseband unit that receives a measurement report including the measurements performed by the UE. The transceiver is configured to transmit the sum of the uplink signals to the baseband unit over a fronthaul link.

  • Patent number: 10038525
Abstract: The embodiments of the invention provide at least a method and apparatus to schedule an uplink communication from a user equipment of a plurality of user equipment; identify one or more candidate cells to support the uplink communication from the user equipment; send a request to the identified one or more candidate cells for requesting at least one of antenna data and pilot symbols from the one or more candidate cells for the uplink communication from the user equipment; and in response to the request, receive the uplink communication from the user equipment via a coordinated multi-point operation using at least in part a reception cells of the one or more candidate cells.

  • Publication number: 20170237831
Abstract: Various communication systems may benefit from improved bandwidth compression techniques. For example, certain communication systems may benefit from a radio fronthaul traffic compression on a frequency domain data. A method can include identifying a composite waveform corresponding to a real component and an imaginary component of a frequency domain data at a first device. The method may also include causing a transmission of a value that represents the composite waveform to a second device from the first device.
