Abstract: Systems and methods for monitoring health of virtual machines (VMs) include determining a leader virtual machine (VM) count for a group of VM nodes hosted on a plurality of computing devices; selecting a number of the VM nodes of the group to serve as leader VMs for the group, the number of the VM nodes selected corresponding to the leader VM count; and periodically performing a peer VM monitoring process. The peer VM monitoring process includes periodically storing health information for each of the VM nodes of the group in a data store; periodically accessing the health information of each of the VM nodes to identify sick VMs using each of the leader VMs, respectively; and automatically performing a healing process on the sick VMs to improve a performance of the sick VMs.

Abstract: The present invention is for a downhole tool having a perforator gun portion disposed within a housing of the downhole tool for perforating an oil and gas formation. The downhole tool also includes a bypass passageway for directing fluid past the perforator gun portion in the downhole tool to permit fluid flowing into the downhole tool to flow out of the downhole tool to facilitate an oil and gas operation. Furthermore, the downhole tool is used in a method of performing the oil and gas operation in a wellbore by pumping fluid through the downhole tool.

Abstract: A sound producing fishing float constructed to allow a fishing line to freely slide back and forth through the float. A float stop secured on the fishing line above the float. A bead or beads secured on the fishing line below the float. When the fishing line is twitched by the fisherman, the line and beads slide up and contact the bottom of the fishing float in such a way as to create a chamber inside the sound structure threaded bore producing a fish attracting sound.

Abstract: A retractable coater is used on-line with the last unit of a standard offset lithographic printing press. The coater includes a coating assembly mounted on a platform and a retraction guide assembly, the latter comprising:(i) a horizontal member and means for slidably supporting platform movement along the horizontal member;(ii) a vertical member slidably guiding vertical movement of the platform and(iii) means for slidably lifting the platform and coating metering assembly on a course guided by the vertical member.
