  • Patent number: 8706568
Abstract: A PLM system, method, and computer readable medium. A method includes constructing an engineering design structure of a product that corresponds to physical parts of the product as designed. The method includes constructing an as-built design structure of the product that corresponds to physical parts of the product as built. The method includes displaying a bill of materials (BOM) window view that includes representations of both the engineering design structure and the as-built design structure.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 12, 2012
Date of Patent: April 22, 2014
Assignee: Siemens Product Lifecycle Management Software, Inc.
Inventors: Frances Elizabeth Evans, Phillip Ross

  • Patent number: 8290830
Abstract: A PLM system, method, and computer readable medium. A method includes receiving a persistence model of a physical assembly and transforming the persistence model to a bill of materials (BOM) window that includes a plurality of BOM lines each corresponding to a physical part. The method includes constructing an engineering design structure corresponding to the physical assembly and creating a hybrid BOM window by combining the engineering design structure with the BOM window. The hybrid BOM window includes a plurality of hybrid BOM lines. The method includes displaying a BOM window view based on the hybrid BOM window.

  • Patent number: 7596875
Abstract: A template and method for sizing horseshoes. The template includes a plate against which ground-contacting portion of a horse's hoof is placed. The plate has a plurality of adjustment members thereon. Each adjustment member is individually movable from a first position remote from a perimeter of said hoof, to a second position adjacent the perimeter. When the adjustment members are all in the second position, they are locked into position. The adjustment members define a region that is generally shaped to conform to the perimeter of the horse's hoof. The farrier works a horseshoe until the shoe is able to be received within the region defined by the adjustment members. The worked horseshoe may then be nailed to the horse's hoof.
