  • Patent number: 11953982
Abstract: Embodiments include in response to monitoring a processor during operation, detecting a first number of core recovery events in the processor, determining that the first number of core recovery events fulfills a first condition for the first core recovery events threshold, and modifying a value of at least one droop sensor parameter of the processor by a first amount. The at least one droop sensor parameters affects a sensitivity to a voltage droop. In response to modifying the value of the droop sensor parameter by the first amount, a second number of core recovery events is detected in the processor. It is determined that the second number of core recovery events fulfills a second condition for a second core recovery events threshold, and the value of the at least one droop sensor parameter is modified by a second amount.

  • Publication number: 20240026995
Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method for deploying a tubular body across a gap. The tubular body is fixed to a surface on either side of the gap. The system includes a first connector housing fixed to the first surface and a second connector housing fixed to a second surface. An insertion end of the first connector housing is smaller than a receiving end of the second connector housing such that the insertion end of the first connector is insertable into the receiving end of the second connector housing. The tubular body passes continuously through the interior volume of the first connector housing and through the interior volume of the second connector housing.

  • Publication number: 20230392438
Abstract: An improved bi-fold shutter that includes a more efficient coupling mechanism at a hinge point suited to facilitate opening and closing the bi-fold shutter with greater ease. In one embodiment, the shutter may be designed for a window such that the shutter, when closed, is relatively close to the face of the associated window, and when open, forms an awning or overhang. The shutter includes an improved coupling mechanism at a hinge point between a first shutter portion and a second shutter portion. The improved hinge point shifts a direction of force needed to maneuver the shutter when moving the shutter from one position to another. The shift in opening and closing force directions improves the efficiency by which the shutter can be operated. In some embodiments, the shutter may be hand-operated. In other embodiments, the shutter may be powered.

  • Patent number: 10167315
Abstract: Provided herein are peptoids capable of inhibiting or reversing amyloid ? (A?) fibril or plaque production. The peptoids form a helical structure with three monomers per helical turn and have at least four monomers with a side-chain having an arylalkyl or aryl group. The peptoid may be achiral. Also provided are methods of using the peptoids to inhibit or reverse aggregation of A? and methods of treating subjects with Alzheimer's disease (AD) or slowing the progression of AD.

  • Publication number: 20060011592
Abstract: In laser welding of metallic workpieces, the energetic beam is moved over the workpiece surface to form a pool of molten weld metal that quickly solidifies behind the advance of the laser into a weld nugget. The laser beam produces a keyhole of plasma-containing vapor within the molten pool. Weld nugget porosity, due to entrapment of the vapor, is minimized by continually sensing radiation from the molten metal pool to determine pool depth and width and then controlling laser power and speed to continually produce a weld metal pool wide enough for the liquid to fully expel the vapor and solidify into a pore free nugget.
