Patent number: 11112134Abstract: An air conditioning system includes a housing defining a first airflow path therein between an outside air inlet over a cooling coil and an outlet for delivering outside air from the outside air inlet over the coil to the outlet, a second airflow path between a return air inlet over the cooling coil and to the outlet for delivering return air over the cooling coil, and a third airflow path between the return air inlet and the outlet for delivering return air through the housing without passing over the cooling coil. The system includes outside, return, and bypass air dampers that are sequentially moveable between open and closed positions for directing air through or preventing air from entering the first, second, and third airflow paths, respectively. A controller independently controls the opening and closing of each damper in response to data received from the sensor.Type: GrantFiled: July 13, 2017Date of Patent: September 7, 2021Assignee: FLO ENERGY SOLUTIONS INC.Inventors: Bryan Cyril Elliott, Phillip Walker, Martin E. Robbins, Allen Payne

Patent number: 10545476Abstract: A method of self-balancing a plurality of mechanical components within a temperature control unit of an HVAC system. Each mechanical component is adjustable by the controller to vary airflow within the temperature control unit. For each mechanical components, a property is measured. An estimated condition of the mechanical component is calculated based on the measured property and known qualities of the temperature control unit. A desired condition for the mechanical component is determined based on a desired air condition within the HVAC system or building envelope. The estimated condition of the mechanical component is compared to the desired condition of the component. The condition of the mechanical component is changed using a controller to more closely align the estimated condition to the desired condition to achieve the desired indoor air condition. Steps are repeated until the difference between the estimated condition and desired condition is within a threshold value.Type: GrantFiled: January 26, 2015Date of Patent: January 28, 2020Assignee: CONSOLIDATED ENERGY SOLUTIONS INC.Inventors: Bryan Elliott, Phillip Walker, Chris Au, Geoff Gomm, Thabet Belamri, Kieran Bathgate, Marvin Gui, Saman Zamanzadeh, Peter Hanna

Patent number: 8490560Abstract: A cover for use with an elongated opening associated with a transportable barge. The cover includes a number of inter-engageable cover sections, each exhibiting a plasticized construction and extending in both widthwise and lengthwise fashion relative to an upper lip edge defining an open perimeter of the barge. Each cover section exhibits pairs of opposing lifting eyes and associated locking pins, these being defined along outer extending side edge locations of each cover section and is adapted to securing the cover section upon the barge perimeter defining edge. Each cover further includes a four point locking and unlocking feature activated by a lift handle for selectively opening a cargo carrying interior associated with the barge. A plurality of structurally strengthening trusses are also incorporated into each individually assemble-able barge section in combination with an in molded ladder associated with each end wall section.Type: GrantFiled: June 2, 2011Date of Patent: July 23, 2013Assignee: Brown Water Plastics, LLCInventors: Phillip Walker, Jeff James, Miguel A. Linares, Warren A. Waxham, Michael G. Wisniewski, Brent A. Honsberger

Publication number: 20070124573Abstract: A method for rapid startup of a computer system. A hibernated image is accessed from an image library comprising a plurality of hibernated images, the hibernated image comprising information captured by an operating system when a running computer system is placed into a hibernated state wherein a hibernated computer system is operable to awaken from a hibernated state faster than booting a powered down computer system. The hibernated image is copied onto a boot disk of the computer system. The computer system is awakened from the hibernated state.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 28, 2005Publication date: May 31, 2007Inventors: Phillip Walker, Timothy Barry
