  • Publication number: 20210391527
Abstract: A method for manufacturing an electroactive polymer device which includes a layered structure including a dielectric polymer layer and an electrode layer, wherein the electrode layer is arranged on a surface of the dielectric polymer layer. The method includes: providing the dielectric polymer layer; determining a surface area location of a defect on a first surface of the dielectric polymer layer; creating an electrode layer including an area void of electrode layer material surrounding the surface area location, and the electrode layer includes a patch of electrode material covering the surface area location and a remainder part of the surface of the dielectric polymer layer surrounding the area void of electrode layer material, in which the patch and the remainder part are electrically isolated from one another.

  • Patent number: 7833781
Abstract: The invention relates to an installation for composting organic material (1). The inventive installation comprises an assembly of cells (10) in which the organic material (1) is stored for fermentation purposes and a ventilation device (20) which blows or draws air through the organic material (1) that is stored in the aforementioned cells (10), each cell (10) comprising a base slab (11) and partition walls (12). The above-mentioned ventilation device (20) comprises at least one ventilator fan (21), which is equipped with a suction opening (211) and a discharge port (212), and a ventilation duct (22) which connects the suction opening (211) or the discharge port (212) to one or more cells (10). According to the invention, the installation comprises an apron (40) forming the base slabs (11) of the different cells (10), said apron comprising means (41) and reserves (42) which are used to install the partition walls (12) of the cells (10) at different pre-determined positions.

  • Patent number: 6916218
Abstract: The invention relates to a hydrocarbon transfer system (1) in which a floating construction (2) such as a FPSO is connected to an offloading buoy (3) via a submerged offloading pipeline (10). The motions of the buoy are de-coupled form the pipeline (10) via connection of the pipeline by a support member (7) and connecting member (8) while the pipeline (10) is extendable in a length direction to compensate for drift phenomena.
