Abstract: A patient support for supporting a patient includes an inflatable mattress having at least one bladder forming at least part of a patient support surface, a pneumatic system for inflating the inflatable mattress, and a control system. The control system including at least one sensor, which includes an emitter and a receiver, with the emitter directing light into the bladder. The receiver receives a reflection from the light directed into the bladder, and the control system detects the immersion of a patient into the mattress based on the reflection received by the receiver.

Abstract: A golf club cleaning device (10) includes a base member (12) and a brush member (14) secured to the base member (12). The brush member (14) includes bristles arranged around a circular outer edge thereof. One or more straps (26) are provided having hooks (28) at first ends thereof and second ends secured to the base member (12). The hooks (28) engage with a peripheral edge of a rim (18) of the wheel (16) to secure the base member (12) to a side surface of a wheel (16) such that while the wheel (16) is turning, the brush member (14) and the base member (12) rotate so that a face of a golf club (44) can be cleaned by the rotating bristles (39).

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed that allow automated testing of an application program that is configured to receive a touch input. A testing mechanism can be configured to identify the touch input that is designed to produce a specified result. The testing mechanism can generate one or more signals simulating the touch input. The testing mechanism can then check the state of the user interface of the application program being tested and determine whether the actual result conforms to the specified result.

Abstract: A flexible dressing for direct application to a wound for absorbing exudates. The dressing comprises an alginate fiber sheet having honey fully impregnated through the fiber sheet such that the dressing has moist surfaces, and on application to the wound, the dressing becomes gel-like as exudate is absorbed.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a dressing (1) which incorporates a honey composition (7) and a base material (2) is disclosed. The method includes the steps of preparing the honey composition (7) and of the base material (2), characterised by a change in the physical characteristics of the base material (2). The dressing (1) may include additional agents (3) either in the honey composition (7) or the base material (7) or both. The dressing can include further layers further layers for adhesion; be covered with a waxed material and packaged. The dressing can be applied to a wide range of wounds including exudated and/or infected wounds.

Abstract: An applicator for applying a honey composition topically a site, the applicator including, a sealable reservoir, and a pressure assembly, and a nozzle assembly in fluid communication with each other once the seal is breached, characterised in that the scalable reservoir holds a preferred quantity of the honey composition in a fluid form and the pressure assembly is fitted to the reservoir in order to apply pressure to the honey composition contained within the reservoir, for effecting transfer of the honey composition from the reservoir and the nozzle assembly attached to the reservoir assembly directs the honey composition to the site.

Abstract: An autochanger 10 for DAT cassettes 52 includes a 5¼ inch form factor housing 12 within which are arranged a tape drive mechanism 50, a magazine 70 for holding six DAT cassettes 52 and a transfer mechanism 13 for transporting DAT cassettes between the storage area 15 and the tape drive mechanism 50. A turntable 100 is mounted in the underside of the lid 16 of the housing 12 for rotating the magazine 70 about 18° so that all of the DAT cassettes in the magazine 70 are accessible from a single direction.

Abstract: An autochanger for DAT cassettes comprises a 51/4 inch form factor housing having a tape drive mechanism, a magazine for six DAT cassettes and a transfer mechanism for transporting DAT cassettes between a storage area and the tape drive mechanism. A turntable mounted in the underside of a housing lid rotates the magazine about 180.degree. so all of the DAT cassettes in the magazine are accessible from a single direction.
