    Abstract: A lock-out device is provided for preventing unauthorized use of an electrical appliance such as a television, power tool, or the like. The lock-out device comprises an open-ended housing for receiving the electrical plug of an electrical appliance. A lock member is carried by the housing generally at or near the entrance end thereof to prevent unauthorized removal of the plug from the housing, thereby preventing unauthorized use of the appliance.
