Abstract: A method for monitoring and securing interprogram communications between a plurality of business applications in a network includes gathering, using a computing device, information regarding communications between the plurality of business applications, the gathering step including steps of reading information from a log file in which information regarding each communication into and out of the business application is recorded, reading information from internal files of the business application and recording information obtained from data messages entering and leaving the business application, simplifying the gathered information, the simplifying step including normalizing the information into a common format based on a shared parameter value; and merging the normalized information together, classifying the information based on desired parameters, the classifying step including steps of designating a classification of the information based on content of the communication and designating certain information as
