  • Patent number: 12268517
Abstract: A method of delivering safe, suitable, and repeatable dosages to a subject for topical, oral, nasal, or pulmonary use and a device for droplet ejection includes a fluid delivery system capable of delivering a defined volume of the fluid in the form of droplets having properties that afford adequate and repeatable high percentage deposition upon application. The method and device include a housing, a reservoir disposed within the housing for receiving a volume of fluid, an ejector mechanism configured to eject a stream of droplets having an average ejected droplet diameter greater than 15 microns, the stream of droplets having low entrained airflow such that the stream of droplets deposit on the eye of the subject during use.

  • Publication number: 20250076109
Abstract: In at least one embodiment, an apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a measurement circuit, a trigger determination circuit, and a latch circuit. The measurement circuit is configured to receive an input signal from a transmitting source and to provide an averaged input signal based on the input signal. The trigger determination circuit is configured to receive the averaged input signal and to compare the averaged input signal to a predetermined threshold. The trigger determination circuit is further configured to provide a first output indicative of the averaged input signal exceeding the predetermined threshold. The latch circuit is configured to receive the first output and to trigger a latch condition to prevent the transmitting source from transmitting the input signal in response to the first output.

  • Publication number: 20130310557
Abstract: Amorphous solid-state form of (R)-(+)-7-(3-amino-2,3,4,5,6,7-hexahydro-1H-azepin-1-yl)-1-cyclopropyl-8-chloro-6-fluoro-1,4-dihydro-4-oxoquinoline-3-carboxylic acid is characterized by at least one of: (a) an X-ray powder diffraction (“XRPD”) spectrum that comprises peaks at 2? angles of 6.9-7.1, 9.4, 10.6-10.7, and 13.4-13.7°±0.2°, and a diffuse halo pattern at 11-30°; and (b) a DSC (differential scanning calorimetry) melting peak at about 267-272° C. The amorphous solid is prepared by rapid precipitation from a saturated or supersaturated solution of besifloxacin free base in a solvent comprising at least benzyl alcohol.

  • Patent number: 6247041
Abstract: An apparatus and method is disclosed for allowing a user process to advise or control an operating system to place a process on a particular node or a node within a set of nodes. When a user process makes a system call to the operating system to either create, execute, move, or attach a process, a specified system resource is passed to the operating system with the system call. This advises the operating system to store the process on a node containing the system resource identified in the system call. The user process can also require the operating system to store a process on a particular node.

  • Patent number: 6134409
Abstract: A method for applying instant self-fixing adherent printing images from a recording member to a substrate includes applying a liquid toner including toner material and a liquid carrier to a latent image on a ferro-electric recording member, removing an excess amount of the liquid carrier from the adherent image using an extraction mechanism, and transferring the adherent image without the excess liquid carrier to a substrate. The present invention also includes a apparatus for performing the inventive method.

  • Patent number: 5752142
Abstract: A method and apparatus to develop electrostatic images using a mist which is substantially water and a colorant. Mist is transported from a generation station to a development station via a development electrode. Unused mist may be recycled or extracted. The mist may be size classified before development so that a consistent and desired resolution is obtained. Classification by size may be achieved by passing the mist in an arcuate path from the generation station to the development station.
