Patent number: 11531908Abstract: Technologies are disclosed herein for enhancing machine learning (“ML”)-based anomaly detection systems using knowledge graphs. The disclosed technologies generate a connected graph that defines a topology of infrastructure components along with associated alarms generated by a ML component. The ML component generates the alarms by applying ML techniques to real-time data metrics generated by the infrastructure components. Scores are computed for the infrastructure components based upon the connected graph. A root cause of an anomaly affecting infrastructure components can then be identified based upon the scores, and remedial action can be taken to address the root cause of the anomaly. A user interface is also provided for visualizing aspects of the connected graph.Type: GrantFiled: March 12, 2019Date of Patent: December 20, 2022Assignee: eBay Inc.Inventors: Hanzhang Wang, Phuong Viet Nguyen

Publication number: 20140047173Abstract: A device stores a plurality of applications and a list of associations for those applications. The applications are preferably stored within a secondary memory of the device, and once launched each application is loaded into RAM. Each application is preferably associated to one or more of the other applications. Preferably, no applications are launched when the device is powered on. A user selects an application, which is then launched by the device, thereby loading the application from the secondary memory to RAM. Whenever an application is determined to be associated with a currently active state application, and that associated application has yet to be loaded from secondary memory to RAM, the associated application is pre-launched such that the associated application is loaded into RAM, but is set to an inactive state.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 22, 2013Publication date: February 13, 2014Applicants: Sony Electronics Inc., SONY CORPORATIONInventors: Phuong Viet Nguyen, Ashish Garg

Publication number: 20040194153Abstract: A method and apparatus optimize the use of system resources when switching between applications. Preferably, the apparatus includes a processor, a secondary memory and a system memory. Applications previously loaded into system memory from the secondary memory are set to either an active state or an inactive state. In the active state, the processor actively processes the application and a portion of the system memory is used by the processor for active processing. In the inactive state, neither the processor nor the portion of the system memory dedicated for active processing is used by the application. Preferably, only one application is in the active state at any given time. When multiple applications are currently stored in system memory, one of the applications is set to the active state while the other applications are set to the inactive state.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 24, 2003Publication date: September 30, 2004Applicant: Sony Corporation and Sony Electronics Inc.Inventors: Ashish Garg, Phuong Viet Nguyen
