    Abstract: In one example, an apparatus is described, which may include a port to couple a docking station to the apparatus and an embedded controller. The embedded controller may receive a connection status of the docking station. Further, the embedded controller may provide a docking option corresponding to the docking station in a firmware setup menu based on the connection status. Furthermore, the embedded controller may receive a user input to control a peripheral device on the docking station via the docking option in the firmware setup menu. Then, the embedded controller may generate a command corresponding to the user input to control the peripheral device on the docking station.
