    Abstract: The present invention relates to frequency offset estimation for receivers, especially for wireless burst type signals. In particular the present invention provides a method of correcting the frequency offset of a received signal by shifting the phase of said received signal by a determined phase rotation angle between repeated training sequences or training symbols. The phase rotation angle is determined by differentially multiplying a sample of a first sequence with a corresponding sample of a second sequence, and determining a phase rotation angle dependent on the difference, and which is indicative of the frequency offset estimate.
