The battery enclosure comprises: an enclosure body having a plurality of side walls enclosing an accommodating space for accommodating battery cells; and first pressure relief mechanisms disposed on at least one side wall and used for pressure relief of the battery enclosure. The first pressure relief mechanisms do not protrude outwardly from the at least one side wall.

Abstract: A battery includes a battery cell, a functional part and an insulating layer. The battery cell is provided with a pressure-relieving mechanism. The functional part is connected to the battery cell and provided with an avoidance structure, which is configured to avoid materials released by the battery cell through the pressure-relieving mechanism. At least a portion of the insulating layer is arranged within a region of the functional part corresponding to the avoidance structure.

The safety protection mechanism is in the second state when a preset trigger condition is met, and when the safety protection mechanism is in the second state, at least some of the battery cells are electrically connected to the box assembly.
