Abstract: A container for heating and cooking food includes: a lower containment body; an upper cover hermetically coupling with the lower containment body; and an automatic valve, in the shape of a cap, integrated in the upper cover, allowing steam to vent. The automatic venting valve includes: a control member controlling the pressure inside the container; and an elastic tongue associated and moulded in one piece with the control member. The control member is housed and rotatable in a recess in the upper cover. The elastic tongue has a deformed configuration, applying an elastic force pressing and closing the control member against a through hole in the bottom of the recess housing the control member, preventing the steam from exiting the container. When the steam pressure reaches a critical value, the control member rotates and tilts, removing the control member from the through hole, allowing the steam to vent.

Abstract: Mold for manufacturing glass containers such as salad has at least one through hole through their walls with three distinct parts; a die defining the outer shape of the container adapted to receive a gob of glass in a plastic state; a plunger, the inner shape of the container to be molded; and a closing ring. The three parts are pressed onto one another to cause pressing and expansion of the glass gob in the cavity of the mold. The die has a monolithic construction of one piece, and the closing ring and the one-piece die have at least one protruding portion defining the shape of the through hole to be molded and formed in the container.

Abstract: A glass bell jar for the protection of food such as desserts, pies and the like, which is designed to be rested on a dish, also made of glass, so as to cover the food contained in the dish, includes a U-shaped structural section, made of a soft plastic material such as polypropylene or the like, fitted along the edge of the bell jar to cushion the impact between the dish and the bell jar when the latter is rested on the dish, to prevent direct contact between the two glass parts, and to guarantee better airtightness. The risk is avoided, that one or both parts from crack, with the danger that shards of glass could contaminate the food contained in it. Health risks are thus avoided, and the unpleasant sound caused by the impact between two glass parts is eliminated.
