    Abstract: A wheel having a controlled and compensated pressure includes a rim associated with a tank adapted to be filled with a fluid to a first pressure; a tyre mounted on the rim and having an inner volume inflated to an operating pressure, the operating pressure being lower than the first pressure; at least one valve adapted to regulate a communication between the tank and the inner volume of the tyre, the valve having at least one elastic element operatively associated with a closure member designed to open and close a port of the valve to bring the tank into communication with the tyre when the pressure of the tyre is lower than the operating pressure, the elastic element having an elastic constant showing a variation of 10% to 40% within a temperature range of about ?50° C. to about 50° C.

    Abstract: A method of molding and curing a tyre for a vehicle wheel includes building an unvulcanized tyre on a toroidal support; heating the support; pressing an inner surface of the tyre against an outer surface of the support; and pressing an outer surface of the tyre against walls of a molding cavity defined in a vulcanization mold. The inner surface of the tyre is pressed against the outer surface by at least one secondary working fluid. The outer surface of the tyre is pressed against the walls by at least one primary working fluid. The at least one primary working fluid is heated, causing vulcanization of the tyre. An apparatus for molding and curing a tyre for a vehicle wheel includes the vulcanization mold, at least one passage device, a feeding device, and first and second heating devices. It may also include an airtight device arranged to receive the support.

    Abstract: A method and a plant for manufacturing a belt structure of a green tire are described, wherein the portions (49a, 49b) of the belt strips (19a, 19b) constituting the belt structure are produced in a substantially continuous manner immediately upstream of at least one assembly drum (50, 51). Such method and plant are integrated respectively in a method and in a plant for manufacturing, in a substantially continuous manner, a belt package and a crown structure incorporating the belt structure thus obtained. The method for manufacturing the belt package comprises the subsequent formation on the belt structure of a rubber mixture layer incorporating a plurality of reinforcing cords (5), whereas the method for manufacturing the crown structure comprises the subsequent assembly of a tread (7) on the belt package thus formed.
