Patent number: 12677838Abstract: Food processing devices capable of performing multiple functions, including mixing and extruding pasta or other food products, are described. The food processing devices have a door assembly with a feed chute extending from an opening in the mixing bowl and leading to an extruder. The door assembly can be closed or opened, depending on the type of food processing to be performed. The food processing device mixes food ingredients within the mixing bowl while the door assembly is in a closed position. When the food ingredients are sufficiently mixed, the door assembly is moved to an open position to allow the mixed food ingredients to flow through the feed chute to the extruder. The disclosed food processing devices conveniently allow for both mixing and extruding of food products within a single device configured to efficiently and safely perform both tasks.Type: GrantFiled: October 12, 2023Date of Patent: July 14, 2026Assignee: SharkNinja Operating LLCInventors: Jared Proulx, Pierce Barnard, Travis Marks, Helen Williams, Jonathan James, Lukas Tubby, Nathan Lyell

Publication number: 20250249942Abstract: In general, a wheeled accessory for an insulated container is provided. In one embodiment, the wheeled accessory includes a wheel assembly configured to releasably fasten to a first side of an insulated container, and a handle assembly configured to releasably fasten to a second side of an insulated container. The handle can be used to lift the insulated container, causing one or more wheels on the wheeled accessory to contact a surface upon which the insulated container is resting, thereby allowing the handle to be used for pulling the container across the surface.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 2, 2024Publication date: August 7, 2025Inventors: Nicholas Lerwill, Pierce Barnard

Publication number: 20240358197Abstract: Food processing devices having a door assembly for a mixing bowl are described. The mixing bowl includes an opening extending through at least a portion of one wall of the mixing bowl. The door assembly includes a feed chute positioned adjacent to the opening and a plunger. The plunger has a face and is configured to pivot between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the face of the plunger is flush with an interior surface of the mixing bowl. In the second position, the face of the plunger retracts into the feed chute and permits food ingredients from the mixing bowl to enter and flow through the feed chute.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 12, 2023Publication date: October 31, 2024Applicant: SharkNinja Operating LLCInventors: Jared Proulx, Pierce Barnard, Travis Marks, Jonathan James, Nathan Lyell

Patent number: 11980319Abstract: A coffee puck removal device (10) to remove a coffee puck (24) from a portafilter (20) is disclosed herein. The coffee puck removal device (10) has an open compartment (22) containing the coffee puck (24), the coffee puck (24) having an exposed major outer face (26) and a major inner face (28) when the coffee puck (24) is located in the open compartment (22). The device (10) includes: a body (12) having a rim (14) surrounding an aperture (16), with the rim (14) being configured to engage the portafilter (20), with the open compartment (22) facing the body (12) to inhibit air passing between the portafilter (20) and the rim (14); and a vacuum source (30) to remove air from the aperture (16) so that air pressure applied to the major inner face (28) is greater than air pressure applied to the exposed major outer face (26) so that the coffee puck (24) is removed from the portafilter (20).Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 2019Date of Patent: May 14, 2024Assignee: BREVILLE PTY LIMITEDInventors: Duncan Bruce Hellmers, Stephen John Mcclean, Pierce Barnard, Caroline Valentina Vasta, Andrew Robert Morgan, Andrew Domenic Gregorace, Robert Grassia
