  • Patent number: 6799384
Abstract: Sports shoe having a shell (10) partially overlapped by a leg-piece (20) and adjusting hinge (52, 53) for allowing a flexing movement of controlled amplitude of the leg-piece about a hinging axis. In the overlapping zones (ZE, ZI) plates (42, 41; 47) provided on the outer surfaces of the leg-piece (20) allow selective insertion and subsequent locking of at least one hinge (52, 53) in any one of the matching seats (33, 34, 35, 36; 37; 34′, 36′) provided on the shell (10). The hinging axis thus able to assume at least two different angular positions (X1, X2, X3, X4) relative to the longitudinal centre plane (M) of the shoe, as required by the user.

  • Patent number: 6729048
Abstract: The upper part (3) of the shell (1), manufactured as one piece from polymer material, of a footwear is divided on the front into two pairs of flaps (6A, 7A; 6B, 7B) by a longitudinal separating line (5) and by a transverse slit provided opposite the user's heel. Two removable inserts (11, 12) are provided, which may even be manufactured using a type of polymer material different from that of the shell (1), have parts (13, 15; 14, 16) which are designed to interfere both with the outer surface and with the inner surface of the said flaps (6A, 7A; 6B, 7B) and also have interconnecting parts (17, 18) which are designed to be retained by the twfo sections (8A, 8B) of the transverse slit. USE: Ski boots and skating boots, safety footwear and the like. ADVANTAGES: No infiltration (e.g. of water and snow) into the boot; more efficient manufacturing of the boot.

  • Patent number: 5400527
Abstract: By embedding blocks of resilient material, where necessary reinforced, in the toe-piece and heel of the sole of a ski-boot, so that their upper surfaces make contact with a counter-sole made of rigid material internally covering the bottom of the shell and with the bottom of the wedge contained inside the shell, the responsiveness and the accuracy of transmission of the movements from the limb and foot of the skier to the ski remain unaffected, while the muscular fatigue affecting the limbs and back of the skier is substantially reduced.

  • Patent number: 4974346
Abstract: Between an upper portion and a leg portion of the plastic shell of ski-boots a slot is provided, which is closed by internal tongues for sealing the slot with respect to water and snow.
