  • Publication number: 20230396395
Abstract: Waveforms for wireless communication are shaped asymmetrically according to a complex-valued weighted overlap/add (WOLA) filter. A wireless communication device generates a waveform corresponding to a carrier. The device determines whether neighboring carriers are being used for wireless communication. If one neighboring carrier is occupied and the other is unoccupied, the wireless communication device applies the asymmetrical filter to the waveform such that out-of-band signals which may interfere with the occupied carrier are suppressed to a greater extent than out-of-band signals potentially present in or around the unoccupied carrier. The wireless communication device then transmits the asymmetrically shaped waveform to maximize interference reduction and signal quality.

  • Publication number: 20230131322
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a message that includes an indication that a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state switch for the UE is to be across a serving remote radio head (RRH) and a next RRH. The UE may adjust a tracking of the UE with respect to the serving RRH and the next RRH based at least in part on the indication. Numerous other aspects are described.

  • Publication number: 20220231804
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may detect whether a reference signal is present in a channel at a time instance at which the reference signal is expected. The UE may selectively gate processing of the reference signal based on detecting whether the reference signal is present in the channel. Numerous other aspects are described.

  • Patent number: 10623115
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide methods and apparatus for applying transmitter beamforming for self-interference cancellation. According to aspects, a method generally includes in an acquisition phase, iteratively acquiring received power measurements for different receive chains for transmissions sent via a plurality of beam directions; estimating a self-interference subspace eigenvector based, at least in part, on the received power measurements; based on the estimated self-interference subspace eigenvector, performing a local search of a nullspace to identify a filtering eigenvector; and applying the filtering eigenvector to one or more transmission chains to cancel self-interference on one or more receive chains.

  • Publication number: 20180070364
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A wireless device may receive a signal using a plurality of radio frequency (RF) chains, and may digitally sample the signal over a period of time at outputs of the plurality of RF chains. The sampling may result in a plurality of sample time vectors. The device may map the digitally sampled signal to a set of one or more virtual antenna ports. The mapping may be performed for one or more observation sets of digital samples of the signal. Each observation set may represent a window of sample time vectors. The device may process a signal of interest (SoI) by processing digital samples associated with the set of one or more virtual antenna ports. The device may identify an interference channel contributing to interference of the SoI, and the mapping may be based on mitigating the interference of the SoI.
