  • Patent number: 10328693
Abstract: Fluid jetting device comprising: a nozzle plate, a fluid chamber terminating in an orifice in the nozzle plate, an actuator for generating a pressure wave in a fluid in the fluid chamber to jet fluid through the orifice from the chamber, a jetting waveform generating device connected to the actuator for generating an excitation waveform comprising two separated pulses, called a jetting pulse and a quenching pulse, for respectively generating a pressure wave in the fluid in the fluid chamber leading to a fluid droplet and for substantially cancelling a pressure wave in the fluid in the fluid chamber, wherein the jetting waveform generating device is adapted to make, when jetting two consecutive fluid droplets, a first and a second droplet, the jetting pulse of the second droplet at least partially overlap the quenching pulse directly following the jetting pulse of the first droplet.

  • Publication number: 20180147836
Abstract: A method is disclosed for applying marking material to a substrate, thereby reproducing an image. At least two arrays and at least two piezo-electric print elements in each array are used. An actuation signal for a print element is applied with a predetermined delay with respect to a reference actuation signal. The predetermined delay values are based on a measurement of a drop velocity in dependence on a further, simultaneous actuation of a neighboring print element. They form a repetitive series of delay values for reducing an amount of mechanical crosstalk between the print elements in an array. Two print elements that produce a drop of marking material for landing in each others vicinity on the substrate are associated with a different delay value of the repetitive series.

  • Patent number: 6577835
Abstract: An image transfer system comprising an endless belt serving as an image carrier and passing through a first processing station where it is maintained at a low temperature and through a second processing station where it is maintained at a higher temperature, and a heat exchanger formed by two portions of said belt moving in opposite directions and held in sliding contact with each other by a pressing member, the pressing member being a deflecting roller that co-rotates with the belt portion that is directly in contact therewith.

  • Patent number: 5319334
Abstract: An image-forming device for recording images on a dielectric surface of an image-recording medium, in which the dielectric surface is in contact, in an image-forming zone, with developing powder bound to a powder support by a magnet system, the magnet system having two oppositely magnetized areas separated by a gap and, as considered in the direction of transport of the image-recording medium, disposed consecutively, the distance between at least one of the magnetized areas and the surface of the powder support being less than 150 .mu.m and the distance between the same magnetized area and the surface of the image-recording medium being less than 600 .mu.m, thus raising the background-free level while less magnetic material is required for the magnet system than in comparable devices.

  • Patent number: 4750004
Abstract: A magnetic head array for use in a magnetographic printer, in which local magnetic fields are generated by U-shaped wires each having a complete magnetic yoke formed by bending a foil made up of alternative parallel conductive and soft-magnetic wires over a thin sheet of soft-magnetic material. In a magnetographic printer the array is brought into contact at the U-shape bend with a magnetizable medium. The areas magnetized by the individual wires are sharply defined.
