  • Patent number: 6047663
Abstract: A modular flooring system for an animal housing is provided, the flooring being particularly suited to pig housings due to the structure of the flooring which minimizes spacings in which manure, and its attendant bacteria, could collect. A plurality of interconnecting interior and straight-edge panels are provided and a plurality of panel support units each unit comprising a device for fixing the unit to a substrate of the housing and a device for engaging at least one panel to support the panel over the substrate. The panels each have a rectangular frame having side, top and bottom members and a plurality of spaced horizontal and vertical members extending between the side and top and bottom members of the frame, respectively, forming a plurality of horizontal slots. Each side member comprises means for coupling the panel to an adjacent panel. In the interior panels the outer configurations of the top and bottom members are mirror images and the interior panels are rotatable.

  • Patent number: 4953501
Abstract: A flooring unit for an animal enclosure such as a chicken coop or pen is disclosed. The unit is of relatively thin and flat rectangular shape overall and was a planar tread surface, two transverse elongate mounting members at respectively opposite ends and two longitudinal engagement members at respectively opposite sides of the unit moulding. A grid-like area is provided between the members and includes openings through which waste material can pass. The mounting members are designed to receive fastening elements such as screws for securing the unit to an underlying support. Also, they may be of L-shape in cross-section and are complementary to one another so that two similar floor units may be positioned end-to-end with respective, complementary mounting members fitted together. Fastening elements can then be driven through both mounting members and into the support. The engagement members are designed to engage a respective, corresponding engagement member of an adjacent moulding.

  • Patent number: 4747191
Abstract: A sabot arrangement is produced in accordance with an improved manufacturing method. The sabot arrangement includes a rotational symmetrical sabot body having a central axial bore and radial separating grooves or slots. The radial grooves or slots divide the sabot body into a plurality of equal segments. These slots nearly sever the sabot body into separate segments, so that a material bridge remains near a forward edge and a material bridge remains near a rear edge of the sabot body, which material bridges function as fracture zones.

  • Patent number: 4524695
Abstract: The technical area of the present invention relates to an anti-tank weapon comprising a finned projectile of the arrow type and a launching shoe. The projectile of the invention comprises a shoe 2 the rear portion of which has fins 10 provided with pins 11 which rest against the compression cone 7 of the tube of the weapon. These fins make it possible to obtain practically constant compressive pressure and assure a proper guidance of the projectile during the barrel phase.Application to the field of armaments.
