  • Patent number: 11267298
Abstract: A device valuates the deformation of a tire casing, the device including: a tire casing having a rotation axis, including a crown and having a radial stiffness; when said tire casing is included in a mounted assembly, the footprint of the tire casing has a dimension Ladc in the axial direction; and an electronic device comprising one bending sensor, characterized in that the bending sensor includes an active part having a main dimension of between 10% and 80% of the dimension Ladc, in that the active part of the sensor is located in line with the crown, in that the main dimension of the active part is oriented in the circumferential direction of the tire casing and in that the bending sensor has a bending stiffness that is lower than the radial stiffness of the tire casing.

  • Patent number: 11230148
Abstract: A method for evaluating the firmness of the ground on which is running a vehicle equipped with at least one mounted assembly having a radial stiffness kradial comprising a tyre casing having a crown, two sidewalls and two beads, equipped with a sensor sensitive to the circumferential curvature and positioned in line with the crown, comprises the following steps: Estimating a value of the curvature ?A of the tire casing corresponding to first steady-state conditions of the tire casing in contact with the ground; and Evaluating the relative firmness of the ground with respect to the radial stiffness kradial of the mounted assembly as being a function of the value of the curvature ?A of the tire casing.

  • Patent number: 8984935
Abstract: A powered mobile test device for measuring loads supported by a running tire, said device being composed of a rigid frame carried by at least two carrying wheels to which a torque is applied, and having an axle which is fixed to the frame and which carries a test wheel for measuring the loads supported by said tire. The axle is connected to the frame by a loading actuator, a torque is applied to the test wheel, said torque applied to the test wheel is in the opposite direction to those applied to the carrying wheels, and a linkage system between the test wheel and the carrying wheels transmits at least some of the power developed by the braking torque applied to the test wheel or by the braking torques applied to the carrying wheels.

  • Patent number: 7546763
Abstract: The mobility of a vehicle having first and second pairs of diagonally opposite wheels is extended when the pressure on a given wheel is abnormally low. A load on the first pair of wheels defines a first load diagonal, and a load on the second pair of wheels defines a second load diagonal. A disequilibrium between the first and second load diagonals is induced by actuation of a level corrector comprised of at least two actuators each acting on a respective side of the vehicle, for reducing a load borne by said given wheel and thereby extending the mobility thereof.
