The method further includes providing an ophthalmic lens to be evaluated, the ophthalmic lens being characterized by opto-geometrical features. The method further includes computing a value of the visual performance parameter for the lens to be evaluated on the basis of a model. The method further includes evaluating the ophthalmic lens by comparing the computed value of the visual performance parameter with the visual performance parameter tolerance range.
