  • Publication number: 20040203171
Abstract: Methods for determining mixing accuracy are provided. The present invention includes methods for determining mixing accuracy with respect to mixing devices that are employed to mix a number of solutions, such as dialysis solutions. The mixing accuracy is evaluated based on a spectrophotometric analysis of a surrogate ingredient, such as a colorant, in the mixed solution. The colorant can be added to one of the original solutions prior to mixing.

  • Patent number: 6322642
Abstract: Process for manufacturing a pressure vessel intended to work under pressure between −40° C. and 200° C. in the presence of H2S under conditions defined by the NACE MR 0175-97 standard, in which: components of the vessel are manufactured from a steel of chemical composition: 0.03%≦C≦0.15%; 0%≦Si≦0.5%; 0.4%≦Mn≦2.5%; 0.5%≦Ni≦3%; 0%≦Cr≦1%; 0%≦Mo≦0.5%; 0%≦Al≦0.070%; 0%≦Ti≦0.04%; 0%≦B≦0.004%; 0%≦V≦0.02%; 0%≦Nb≦0.05%; Cu≦1%; S≦0.015%; P≦0.03%; the balance being iron and impurities resulting from the smelting operation; CET=C+(Mn+Mo)/10+(Cr+Cu)/20+Ni/40<0.35; 800/500 cct<10 s; the components being quenched and tempered; the structure is martensitic or martensitic-bainitic with less than 10% ferrite; the temper temperature is <680° C. Optionally, a stress-relieving operation is carried out at a temperature ≧595° C.

  • Patent number: 5597344
Abstract: A machine for multiple treatment of ski soles includes a plurality of tools on the upper part of a frame and oriented so that their working face is their bottom face. The tools are offset transversely relative to each other. Arrangements for holding and moving the skis hold them with their sliding soles facing upwards and move them under the tools with longitudinal reciprocating movement in translation in the lengthwise directions of the skis, with transverse movement in translation to align the skis selectively with transversely offset tools, and with vertical movement in translation to move the skis selectively into contact with or away from the tools. This machine allows easy selection of the treatments to be applied, whilst significantly improving the quality of work, in particular of grinding or sanding.

  • Patent number: 5203118
Abstract: The machine according to the invention consists of an abrasive belt 6 stretched between a support drum 3 and a return drum 5, this assembly being rotated by a motor 7 accommodated between support drum 3 and return drum 5 between the two lengths 61, 62 of abrasive belt that link the drums. Support drum 3 consists of at least two sections with different hardnesses, namely a section with a rigid peripheral surface for dry grinding and a section with an elastic peripheral surface for initial machining or surface polishing. A driving drum may be placed above support drum 3 for the motorized feeding of the ski.

  • Patent number: 4999224
Abstract: A method and device are divulged for over-molding ski soles. As claimed in the invention, a thermoplastic filling material is continuously fed in solid form into a heating and spreader shoe, the material being progressively softened in the shoe and fed in liquid form under the shoe to be successively distributed, crushed, spread over the ski sole, then driven under pressure by a transverse scraper fast with the spreader shoe. The scraper is a steel bar with rectangular section whose lower edge projects slightly below the lower surface of the spreader shoe. The projection of the lower edge, the slant of its front face, the speed of movement and the bearing force are chosen appropriately.

  • Patent number: 4717601
Abstract: A process and device are provided for waxing skis by spraying. The skis are held vertically in a support. A spraying device, mounted on vertical guides, sprays on the surface to be waxed a mixture of wax and volatile solvent. The spraying device comprises a reservoir and a vane pump forcing the liquid mixture into a spraying nozzle.
