  • Patent number: 9983569
Abstract: The invention is directed to a system and method for representing how a photograph was captured in relation to the field capture, and mapping this onto a shape in a 3D dimensional print. More specifically, a group of images, or single image captured through a lens with field of view distortion, is captured and stored together as a group. The images may be stitched together to form a single image. Once stitched together, a three-dimensional file is created and stored to the system. A server then provides the three-dimensional file to a three-dimensional printer for printing. Once printed, the three-dimensional object is packaged and mailed to the sender.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 22, 2016
Date of Patent: May 29, 2018
    Assignee: Scandy, LLC
Inventors: Charles Pierre Carriere, IV, Kaben Gabriel Nanlohy, Harold Cole Wiley

  • Patent number: 5827391
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and a machine for marking an electric cable that comprises a conductive core, an insulating coating, and a varnish comprising an outer layer and an inner layer of contrasting colors, with the marking being performed by ablating the outer layer of said varnish with a laser, the outer layer of varnish being based on polytetrafluoroethylene and being 10 .mu.m to 20 .mu.m thick. According to the invention the machine comprises:a pulsed CO.sub.2 laser (2) whose power is adjusted to obtain an energy density lying in the range 8 J/cm.sup.2 to 15 J/cm.sup.2 at the outer layer of the cable varnish;drive means (9) for driving the cable (4) so as to cause it to run past the laser beam (5);guide means (13, 14, 15) for guiding the cable (4) in the vicinity of the point of impact of said beam (5) on the cable; andcomputerized control means (6).

  • Patent number: 4153069
Abstract: This invention relates to structure for preventing icing in fluid valves such as gate valves, the gate of which is movable inside a chamber. Obstacles formed with orifices therein communicate with the chamber, intercept the flow of fluid through the valve and create a continuous circulation of fluid in the chamber thereby preventing any accumulation of water therein which is liable to freeze and cause the valve mechanism to seize up.
