Publication number: 20050207142Abstract: The illuminating balloon comprises at least one standard module having an inflatable envelope housing an illuminating device. The envelope of each standard module comprises external connecting means designed to co-operate, by juxtaposition according to a predefined shape, with the complementary external connecting means of a predetermined number of identical standard modules to adjust the global volume of the illuminating balloon. Each standard module is formed by two adjacent flat side faces and by a transverse surface. The external connecting means of each standard module comprise lateral connecting means fixed onto the contour of the flat side faces, and transverse connecting means fixed onto the transverse surface. The two flat side faces are substantially in the shape of an ellipse and the transverse surface is a curved revolution surface.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 16, 2005Publication date: September 22, 2005Applicant: AIRSTARInventor: Pierre Chabert

Patent number: 5353995Abstract: Rotating ionizer head for electrostatic application of an air-powder mixture, in particular for coating objects with powder paint fused by heat. The ionizer head is rotated by a turbine and comprises a deflector incorporating or constituting a charging electrode. A counter-electrode is set back axially from the ionizer head.Type: GrantFiled: June 4, 1993Date of Patent: October 11, 1994Assignee: Sames S.A.Inventor: Pierre Chabert

Patent number: 5249748Abstract: An electrostatic spraying installation for conductive liquid coating product comprises a circuit for distributing fluids including the conductive coating product. At least one coating product sprayer is fed by this circuit and is connected to a variable or interruptible high voltage supply. At least one insulated auxiliary coating product storage tank is adapted to be raised to the high voltage. The installation includes at least one rinsing product supply and at least one compressed air supply. The circuit comprises at least one mobile member isolator connected between two parts of the distribution circuit to isolate the upstream circuit part from the high voltage. The installation comprises an arrangement of valves on the upstream and downstream sides of the isolator connected to the rinsing product supply and to the compressed air supply for cleaning and purging the isolator before it is opened each time.Type: GrantFiled: November 18, 1991Date of Patent: October 5, 1993Assignee: Sames S.A.Inventors: Adrien Lacchia, Pierre Chabert, Roger Tholome, Thierry Viguier

Patent number: 4921172Abstract: An electrostatic sprayer device for spraying products in powder form comprises an air-powder mixture pipe with an ejector orifice at one end. It has a charging electrode adjacent this orifice and a counter-electrode coaxial with and to the rear of the charging electrode relative to the direction in which the mixture is ejected from the pipe. This counter-electrode is external to the pipe and substantially perpendicular to the axis of the pipe, with the result that an annular space is defined between the two electrodes and around the pipe. The electrodes have a potential difference applied between them to generate an electric field which attracts free ions towards the counter-electrode. A blower adjacent the counter-electrode discharges into the annular space formed between the two electrodes and around the pipe.Type: GrantFiled: February 5, 1988Date of Patent: May 1, 1990Assignee: Sames S.A.Inventors: Daniel Belmain, Pierre Chabert, Roger Tholome, Pierre Fabre, Jean-Yves Correard, Michel Gondrand

Patent number: 4660771Abstract: Electrostatic painting apparatus comprises a support moveable at high speed along a slide. On this support is a pneumatically controlled paint sprayer producing an electrostatically charged jet of paint. A paint feed assembly comprising a pressure regulator and a discharge valve is juxatposed with the sprayer. Sprayer control devices are disposed on a chassis connected to the feed assembly by a harness. These control means comprise three gas pressure regulators supplying the sprayer and controlling the paint pressure regulator and a high DC voltage generator. The position of the chassis relative to the slide is determined such that the harness is as short as possible, so as to reduce to a minimum the command transmission time. This arrangement makes it possible to reduce the weight carried by the support. The units carried by the chassis are remotely controlled by a microprocessor-based unit over a remote control line.Type: GrantFiled: September 20, 1984Date of Patent: April 28, 1987Assignee: Sames S.A.Inventors: Pierre Chabert, Roger Tholome
