Abstract: An intercommunication system includes one or more modular units utilizing a standards-based audio-over-IP configuration. The modularity of the system provides improved scalability. For instance, a number of audio channels is not limited by physical constraints (e.g. number and type of ports) of a central switch. Accordingly, the addition of audio channels may not require swapping one central switch for a larger switch. Moreover, security applications may be layered onto the standards-based audio-over-IP configuration to implement security requirements often found with intercommunications systems.

Abstract: A shallow electric box has a back wall, and top, bottom, and opposite side walls perpendicularly connected to said back wall to thereby form a box shape. A wire connector connected to an interior surface of each of the side wall, and at least two tab members that are adapted to be mechanically connected to an electrical unit to be inserted within the electric box, and are adapted to frictionally engage respective the wire connectors on respective interior surfaces of each respective of the side wall, to thereby provide a quick and easy means for electrically inserting and removing the electrical unit from the electric box.

Abstract: A jamb and frame combination for doors and windows having an elongated L-shaped cross section member adapted to fit snugly against two abutting side portions of a window or door casing, and including a tongue portion along one distal side portion and extending the length thereof, and at least one removable fastener adapted to pass through the L-shaped cross section member in an area adjacent to the tongue portion and into the window or door casing to thereby hold the L-shaped cross section member snugly thereto. An elongated trim member including a groove portion extending the length thereof and adapted to interlock with the tongue portion of the L-shaped cross section member, such that when the L-shaped cross section member is installed upon a window or door casing, the trim member groove portion can be pushed upon the L-shaped cross section member tongue portion and frictionally held in place and covering the at least one removable fastener.

Each rail includes a pair of elongated inclined side walls integrally linked at a common elongated top edge. At least one cart is rollably carried by the pair of rails and is rollable along the pair of rails between the storing lane front and rear ends, the cart having a load-bearing frame rollably carrying a number of wheels each engaging a corresponding one of the rails. Each wheel has a web rotatable about a rotational axis and a pair of side flanges radially extending from and axially spaced-apart along the wheel web so as to define a rail-engaging surface on the wheel web between the spaced-apart side flanges. The rail-engaging surface is wider than the top edge of the corresponding rail.

Abstract: A method for use in monitoring a subject may include receiving physiologic data from sensors connected to the subject, processing the data from the sensors to identify a condition of the subject that may require attention by a user, sending a notification message to a portable electronic device, designed to be carried by a user, to indicate that the subject has a condition that may require attention by the user, and sending live data from the sensor to the portable electronic device based on a notification message sent to the portable electronic device. The live data may include physiologic data such as ECG waveform data. The live data may be sent with the notification message and/or may be sent in response to a user request. The method may also include sending a window of data acquired from the subject at about the same time as the alarm was triggered.

Abstract: A system for use in a monitoring a plurality of subjects may be configured to receive data from a monitoring device, determine whether a subject has a condition that may require attention based on data received from the monitoring device, wirelessly send a notification message to a first portable electronic device and/or a second portable electronic device if a subject has a condition that may require attention, and facilitate voice communication between the first portable device and the second portable device. The voice data may be transferred using one of a network of the health care facility, a direct wireless connection between the portable devices, and a cellular network. The system may further be configured to forward other data from the first portable device to the second portable device, such as data associated with a notification message being displayed on one of the devices.
