  • Patent number: 9885315
Abstract: The invention relates to a rear casing for a turbine engine comprising a primary body generating a primary flow (10) to be ejected through a primary nozzle (6), said rear casing (7) being shaped so as to be positioned downstream from the primary body and to define, on the inside of the turbine engine, the path followed by the primary flow downstream from the primary nozzle (6). The tail cone is characterised in that it comprises a connection to a system for supplying a pressurised gas and at least one perforation (8) for injecting the pressurised gas through the perforation and into the primary flow. The casing preferably comprises at least one means for rotating same about the axis of rotation of the mobile elements of the primary body.

  • Publication number: 20060134399
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of producing a ceramic article. According to the invention, a slip is pressure cast in a mould (12) in order to form a deposit (20) and a solution (10) containing a deflocculating agent is filtered onto said deposit (20).

  • Patent number: 5824081
Abstract: The invention relates to a tissue implant having visco-elastic characteristics which simulate the natural tissue that is intended to be augmented or replaced. The implant is comprised of a shell or envelope enclosing a compound foam body and a fluid filler material. Both the foam body and the fluid filler are should be biocompatible and preferably are substantially radiolucent using standard mammographic materials and protocols. The compound foam body is of elastomeric cellular foam materials. Intercellular communication of the fluid filler provides a hydraulic mechanism for imparting shape and tissue-like consistency to the implant. The compound foam body has multiple regions, each region having a different cellular density, for simulating the tactile characteristics of the natural tissue that the implant is intended to augment or replace. The implant may also have a cavity in the compound foam body configured for providing a hydraulic reservoir for the fluid filler.

  • Patent number: 4380238
Abstract: A disposable applicator device for applying tubal occlusion clips, particularly clips utilized in mini-laparotomy sterilization surgery. The applicator includes a grasping lever for grasping the hook portion of the clip and a guiding arm for gripping, guiding and forcing the projection portion of the clip. The grasping lever and guiding lever are connected by swivel hinge and a separation restrictor such that the relative motion of the levers is restricted to a predetermined arc within a plane. The applicator is adapted to deliver a tubal occlusion clip into position, force the clip from an open mode to a closed mode about the desired tissue, and then slidably disengage from the clip, leaving the clip installed upon the tissue.

  • Patent number: 4353659
Abstract: A locking sleeve for the post of a shade umbrella or the like comprises a tubular body adapted to be fitted into a hole in a table or other article of furniture and formed with a longitudinal slot allowing outward spreading of the body upon the tightening of a screw threaded therein against the post.

  • Patent number: 4165477
Abstract: A wrist carried instrument includes a rechargeable electric energy source for providing power to the instrument. The energy source is recharged by a pair of generators, both operatively coupled to the source and generating complementary recharging currents from different physical phenomena. The first generator may be a photo-electric cell generating a recharging current in light such as exists from the sun in summer, while the second generator may be a thermoelectric element generating a recharging current from a temperature gradient such as exists in the dark or winter.
