    Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a gas-powered fastener-driving tool. In one embodiment, the tool includes a combustion or precombustion chamber a valve comprising a body that is mobile within the combustion or precombustion chamber between a first closed position and a second open position. The body defines two opposing orifices at longitudinal ends of the body. The orifices form part of a bore defined through the body that enables gas to pass through the valve. This makes it possible to limit the pressure drops as gas is being admitted to or exhausted from the chamber, thus making it possible to optimize the duration of the firing cycle of the tool.

The body is shaped and sized to be inserted at least partially into and removed from a housing defined by a case of the tool via translation along the longitudinal axis. The cartridge also includes a connection and fuel dispensing end fitting connected to the body and sized and shaped to engage an end fitting of the tool within the housing. The cartridge also includes a first cam surface extending at least partially around the longitudinal axis and configured to, during relative rotation of the first cam surface and a second cam surface, engage the second cam surface to facilitate removal of the fuel cartridge from the housing.

The tool also comprises a combusted gas evacuation valve. The tool also comprises means for fluidic communication between the precombustion and combustion chambers. The means are configured to be activated after a start of displacement of the piston from a rest position to a working position, and before actuation of the valve for evacuation of combusted gas to the outside of the precombustion and/or combustion chamber.

According to the principle of the present disclosure, the triggering of the ignition of the chamber to produce the shot is commanded on the condition that the time between the moment when the user places the tool against a work surface and the moment when he pulls on an actuation trigger of the tool is greater than a predefined delay time, to ensure an optimal filling of the combustion chamber with the combustible gas. According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, the triggering of the ignition is enabled on the supplemental condition that a signal of medium ignition voltage is greater than a trigger threshold voltage.

The injection piston comprises an internal bore opened on the exterior and the check valve and its injection piston are arranged so that, in an opening position, the fuel in a container is able, outside the check valve, to only flow through the internal bore of the injection piston.
