  • Patent number: 5060800
Abstract: A container comprises a man-made material film which is shaped to define at least one sealed compartment, a plane top around the compartment or compartments and continuous external walls which surround the compartment or compartments. These walls have a height at least equal to that of the compartment or compartments. The man-made material film is backed by at least one bonded-on layer of cardboard over substantially all the inside surface of each wall and of the top. The man-made material film is in a single piece which constitutes an uninterrupted outside wall all around the container and a plane top and which forms at least one compartment inside the volume determined by the outside wall of the container and by the top. The cardboard part constitutes in a single piece a top with at least one opening in it and side walls with adjacent edges.

  • Patent number: 4977834
Abstract: Ammunition constituted by a case containing a propulsive charge and a subcalibre projectile for a firearm, the projectile comprising:an internal element (5)an external element (6) andanti-recoil means (7) for the engagement of the internal element (5) in the external element (6), the internal element (5) comprising:a front part (8) with a stopping shape,a rear shank (9) connected to the front part, anda percussive mass (10) at least partly fitted over the rear shank (9), andthe external element (6) being constituted by:an aerodynamically-shaped outer casing (19, 13) covering the front and the side walls of the internal element (5) in order to give the projectile good air-penetration,the anti-recoil engagment means (7) ensuring the connection of the internal element (5) and the external element (6) so that at least initially the external element cannot advance more rapidly than the internal element.

  • Patent number: 4616689
Abstract: A foundry mould for low pressure moulding of metal parts is constructed of a mould chamber (14) with a bottom surface (17) having an opening (31) through which molten casting metal can ascend. A peripheral pressure chamber (15) surrounds the side walls of the chamber (14) and a suction bell (18, 19) connected to a suction duct (23) covers the top of the mould chamber and pressure chamber. Communicating apertures (20, 21) provide gas flow paths from the mould chamber and pressure chamber to the suction bell. Patterns of gasifiable expanded polystyrene are located in the mould chamber and are supported therein by a masking device, such as a masking shell (28), by means of pattern appendages (26) connected to tubular supporting members (27) of the masking shell. A sleeve (34) is locked to the opening (31) and supports the masking device. Compacted, binderless, sand fills the remaining volume of the mould chamber.

  • Patent number: 4444730
Abstract: Detergent dispenser for providing water-added, concentrated detergent solutions, particularly for replenishing the detergent reservoir of an automatic washing machine, comprising a container equipped internally with a horizontally disposed perforated plate for receiving detergent the plate dividing the container into an upper detergent retaining zone and a lower fluid reservoir zone. In operation, water is continually admitted to the reservoir zone through an inlet port and rises through the plate and detergent mass, thereafter exiting as a concentrated detergent solution via a discharge port positioned above the detergent retaining zone.

  • Patent number: 4047450
Abstract: A safety steering-wheel has a rim situated in front of a central hub of the wheel. Only two legs are fixed to the rim and are inclined therefrom rearwardly toward the central hub, these legs when projected onto a plane which contains the rim extending along radii of the latter which are situated relatively close to each other. At least one of these legs is fixed to the hub. Fixed to the hub or at least one of the above legs is a substantially gallows-shaped complementary portion which is situated in the vicinity of the hub, with this complementary portion situated behind the plane of the rim but forwardly of the hub. The above legs and complementary portion when projected onto a plane which contains the central axis of the hub form a substantially V-shaped configuration, the crest of which is situated adjacent the hub, the complementary portion being inclined oppositely to the legs and extending to the side of the hub axis opposite from the legs.
