  • Patent number: 12404001
Abstract: A method for managing at least one aircraft configured to alternately occupy a first configuration suitable for a first flight category not requiring any auxiliary power unit and a second configuration suitable for a second flight category requiring at least one auxiliary power unit. The managing method includes a step of removably mounting, alternately, a lightened first tail cone not including any auxiliary power unit or a second tail cone including at least one auxiliary power unit depending on the first or second category of flights to be performed by the aircraft. A method for managing at least one fleet of aircraft, an aircraft, and a managing device configured to implement the method are each also provided.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 11, 2023
Date of Patent: September 2, 2025
    Assignee: Airbus Operations SAS

  • Publication number: 20240199236
Abstract: A method for managing at least one aircraft configured to alternately occupy a first configuration suitable for a first flight category not requiring any auxiliary power unit and a second configuration suitable for a second flight category requiring at least one auxiliary power unit. The managing method includes adapting the configuration of the aircraft to the category of the flight to be performed. Thus, when the category of the flight to be performed by the aircraft does not require it, the auxiliary power unit can be removed, this leading to a decrease in on-board weight.

  • Patent number: 11548611
Abstract: In order to simplify the kinematics involved in opening an aircraft door, a plurality of mobile stop members is provided at the periphery of the door, these being intended to press against complementary stop arrangement provided on the door frame. A door control device is configured to bring the door from its closed position into a set-back intermediate position by moving it towards the interior of the compartment, and a stop arrangement control device is configured to allow the mobile stop members to be moved, when the door is occupying its set-back intermediate position, from a deployed locking position to a retracted unlocking position, allowing the door to be moved outward through the opening in the fuselage.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 10518871
Abstract: A crocodile-type flight control surface comprising an upper foil flap, a lower foil flap, an actuating mechanism which guarantees the rotational displacement of each foil flap about a joint axis, either in the same direction or in different directions, and a locking mechanism alternatively adopting a locking position in which the upper foil flap and the lower foil flap are fixed with respect to each other and an unlocking position in which the upper foil flap and the lower foil flap are free with respect to the other. A crocodile-type flight control surface of this kind is therefore stiffened by the locking mechanism that joins the two foil flaps.
